Hotel Erwin

The hotel is advertised as kid friendly. It’s is… kind of. Very loud at night. Our espresso machine did not work as well.

Stuff was extremely helpful, also we didn’t mind fun roof parties, even though we had little kids with us.

There was music outside our room with kids until 2:30am that was right under our room so we couldn’t sleep. There were two mysterious patches of liquid coming up through the carpet and blood stain on the sheet. Couch was beyond stained and dirty and we couldn’t wait to leave.

We stayed here for one night, the staff was super helpful, hotel was very clean, stayed with my family, we loved our stay here.

Great stay on the beach! Very comfortable bed. Suite was perfect size for a family of 4 (including a 1.5 year old — they provide pack & play cribs!) Complimentary breakfast is a huge perk! Our room didn’t have a microwave and they delivered one right away!

My family and I stayed for two nights and absolutely loved it. The staff was part of the best experience we have had traveling with children. From the front desk to housekeeping to the people the served our breakfast. Very accommodating on all requests. We will be returning for sure!

Highly overrated. Terrible attitudes with staff. $40 resort fee provided a bare-bones breakfast with terrible coffee. And a very bizarre customer service mindset. Check this out... I booked for 4 days, and learned on the day of my arrival about a death in the family. I notified the staff and MANAGER with 48 HOURS notice that I would need to check out ONE day early (ie stay 3 not 4 days). Hotels.com understood and agreed, but the hotel manager refused. With 48 hours notice, and a death certificate, they still insisted on charging me for the 4th night. If for no other reason, please consider booking your stay in Venice Beach elsewhere - and I will be boycotting this hotel permanently.

This hotel was phenomenal. Every detail was excellent, like an airbnb.. The rooms were lovely, beds comfortable right by the beach. Staff were very helpful and showed love and care giving our kids gifts, and cleaning our room. Free bike use was awesome. The roof top had great atmosphere and was lovely watching the sunset. We didn’t eat up there as pricey for a family. I just ordered a cocktail and sat up there in my own for a bit. I highly recommend this place and we would love to stay again. Valet parking was $49 a night so we utilized the parking across the street for $40 a night.

This property was lovely and staff amazing. Love the room and balcony overlooking Venice Beach. Not too quiet so keep that in mind, and you do look down on a parking lot below then the beach ahead. But that was fine with us. Lots of restaurants and shops in the area. Parking through the hotel is great--they allowed us to go back and forth to our car before our room was ready. Again, staff was amazing. They have terrific loaner beach towels, balls, and other things. SUPER location right by the beach (parking outside of the hotel is not too easy so I recommend parking at the hotel if you can swing the $49/night fee and walk around the area). The lobby is a bit cramped but everything was terrific so that was not a deal at all. No pool but the beach is amazing so again, no problem. Thanks to the valet, front desk staff and housekeeping staff for a wonderful stay. Our family loved it!!

My family's stay at hotel Erwin was once again, wonderful! Although the surrounding area was not quiet at all which made it hard to sleep at times, the rest of our experience was amazing. Most importantly, the staff was extremely kind and helpful. Any staff member that I came in contact with was thoughtful and helpful. I want to give Shane(Front desk staff/ manager) a huge shout out! Thank you both for acknowledging our every need enthusiastically and helping us feel welcomed! We will be back! Great work Team Erwin!
