Best Western Pasadena Royale Inn & Suites

The staff that checked me last night was polite and quick. The pool was great as my kids watched fireworks. And the suite was comfortable even when I got an extra child added to my parry last minute. Would book again

We wanted a hotel with security door & hallway with rooms - when we got there it was motel. The area was old & other motels in the area were lesser - some even shady/questionable? Limited amenities nearby - fast food but nothing recognizable for us from Canada. No family diners or upper middle class restaurant. We were told it is a safe, low crime area but there was questionable evidence of street presence all about the area. Train was nearby and was useful in going to Old Pasadena for a day. Good hospitality from helpful BW staff & citizens in the area that we encountered during the day. All wanted to help. I have a BW Rewards Card & we stayed 4 nights & many signs said “Stay 2 nights & get 3rd night free. I asked for this & also my points & the BW Staff said they could not do anything since Expedia booked for us. I have had BW Rewards for over 20 years & I got no perks out of this stay.

I havent stayed in a motel in years and didnt realize by pics this was a motel. I was leary checking in we had kids in tow and had to stay outside the checkin window instead of going inside because we arrived after midnight. However c/s was super friendly and my worries soon fled. Motel and area were quiet and best sleep Ive had in years! Super comfy beds.

I had reserved this room for my daughter who was visiting for the first time Pasadena with her new baby. She was afraid to stay with baby alone in a hotel. But the moment I walked in. I new my daughter will be ok, when my daughter was in her room. She text me sayinsaying thank you for the room.

Upon arriving at this particular Best Western, my family and I looked at the place and basically said "oh man, what did we get ourselves into???" It looked like a 3 story motel and there's currently a bunch of furniture being stored in the outdoor covered parking area. Either they just renovated and/or are still in the process. The room itself was great, though! Very very clean, had a fridge and coffee maker, and easy to use thermostat. We all found our stay very comfortable, and our interactions with staff were more than pleasant. The breakfast buffet was amazing! Or maybe I'm just a simple girl who loves breakfast foods. Our stay was a week long and Arlene was super friendly every morning. Loved her! Also loved that the location of this BW was super close to everything we wanted to see, and there were tons of places nearby in case we needed anything. El Super Burrito (where we chatted with friendly locals with awesome recommendations), World Market (as a PA resident, Im so jealous that you can purchase home goods and booze at the same joint), etc, etc. Overall, we enjoyed out stay and this place definitely deserves more than a 2.5!

Check in and room were awesome. Only thing I didnt like was that there was a homesless man that made himself comfortable in the elevators early in the morning. So I had to take the stairs down with my ALL my stuff, carseat and baby.
