We (family of four) were in town to visit some colleges for a few days and needed a place near LAX. Hyatt Place offered a free shuttle that runs every 30 minutes in the morning and on demand after that, which was very convenient. Derek at the front desk, as well as all the other staff, were friendly and helpful.
Overall, the building was clean and well appointed. The breakfast was solid and there are after hour dining and drink options, though nothing special. It is located in a business district so not really walkable, but the positive side is that it was quiet and not on a busy road.
The fitness room was a little small, but had good quality equipment and was clean. A couple of fans would be nice as it got kind of stuffy in there. Beds were a little soft for my taste but fine. The room had a small sitting area with a sofa bed, which made it less cramped. The furniture was a little dated, but not bad at all. Overall, a good stay and I would definitely come back.

The bunk bed and king size unit fit my family of 4 very well. The hotel is very close to Convention Centre and walking distance Toy Story parking area, so convenient.

Stayed for 4 nights at Hyatt place LAX El Segundo, on a family trip to take my grandson to Universal Studios. The location is about an hour and 15 minutes away from universal studios with traffic. It is right off the 405 freeway so very easy access. The location is very good and it is also a little over a mile away from LAX and a couple of miles away from Manhattan Beach. The hotel is very very clean and modern. There is an outside pool and jacuzzi but we did not get to use it because it was kind of cool outside. There is free breakfast in the morning with choice of real eggs, bacon, sausage and potatoes, along with other pastries and of course coffee. Didn't really interact too much with any staff besides check-in and check out but everyone seem very friendly. We did have an issue on the third day/night with the cable being out as well as Wi-Fi . We were given $20 off for that day/night which I guess was fair . Check out was very easy. The location is in kind of an industrial area so really not much to walk to. But everything is a very close drive.

PARKING - This is the first time we had to say "We better leave early (from family btw) so we can find parking at the hotel". If you return to this hotel after 9:30pm, GOOD LUCK, there are limited spaces and they'll send you next door to the Marriott's parking structure, and even then it's slim chances. THE WALLS ARE THIN - the bathroom door, the walls, window and hotel doors are paper thin. You hear everything and everyone. We stayed 5 days and had loud neighbors every night at 2:30am, the Hotel Employees did what they could do but seriously, you can't fight thin walls. THE BREAKFAST SUCKS - The sausage and french toast were so tough you needed a knife, coffee mugs were always out & weren't replaced, the plates were stored ABOVE THE BUFFET - so not handicap friendly - I had to ask strangers to get a plate for me, the area isn't cleaned by employees, food on the floor and tables. The 2nd Star is for our room....very clean, the beds are really comfy and every employee we saw were really friendly. This hotel is definitely on our "NEVER RETURN" list!

The hotel was nice. Parking is is secure but it is extra. Service was ok. Staff didn't look excited to be there and serve. I gave service better than average rating because the woman in charge of breakfast was very attentive. Other than that, no one else seemed to care about their guests. The room was nice but I was put off when a found a Lima bean size, red bug crawling around. Needless to say I was on guard hoping not to find more. The room was a good size for 5 ppl. The couch bed helps however the mattress is very springy and uncomfortable. Luckily kids were fine with it. The shuttle to LAX is very convenient.

Our overall stay was good. We didn’t have any issues with parking and the breakfast was descent, as they switched up some of the breakfast items daily. Our room smelled and looked clean. My only complaint was that when housekeeping cleaned our room, they didn’t leave us extra toilet paper, which we ended up getting from another room we had family in, and they took our used towels and bath mat but didn’t replace them. I had to ask the front desk what the cleaning schedule was and asked if they could supply more towels. We had 4 travelers in this room so I don’t understand why the towels weren’t replaced when the used ones were removed. Also I’d recommend they swifter or mop the floors in the room because my feet felt gross after taking a shower and walking around.

The person that checked us is “Derek” was extremely helpful. He did an amazing job getting me and my family checked in to our room and even offered us an early check in option.
