At first, my kids were disappointed when they saw all the scaffolding outside. Their reaction was, "Is this our hotel? It looks crappy!" But their mood changed as soon as we walked out of the elevator towards our room. My daughter was saying how it smelled good, and the carpet and the walls didn't look nasty. Despite the renovations ongoing, the hotel was clean and well-maintained. The only part of our stay that we were not excited about was the chairs in the dining area. The seats were all flaky and peeling. Other than that, everything else was good. The drive to the Universal Studios was not bad. Will stay here again.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Took my family of 4 to Universal for a 2-day stay. First the pros…David at check-in was very pleasant, plenty of FREE parking in underground hotel garage, the rooms were clean and ready when we arrived, the hotel was quiet, the location had plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and they have a free breakfast bar. Lastly, very short drive to Universal Studios…maybe 10 minutes. If there were any cons to the stay…beds were a bit firm (I like them like that, but my wife does not), and breakfast was not always fully stocked. In the hotel’s defense, they were trying but a bit slow in restocking. Pretty standard blah breakfast bar (eggs, sausage, cereal, waffle makers, and various juice and breads). Overall a very nice stay. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

I was in town to visit family near Hollywood, but all of the hotels there charged nightly for parking and were in crowded, touristy areas. This Burbank hotel was in a much nicer area that was quiet and parking is included in the price. The employees were friendly and there were a few restaurants and a Vons supermarket nearby which was convenient. Hollywood is only 15 minutes away and there are backroads to get there so you can avoid the freeways. The only minor issues were having to go to another floor to get ice and vending since the 2nd floor machines weren't working, and the pillows were pretty flimsy. Other than that everything else was great, so I would definitely stay here again if I need to be near the Hollywood area.

Front desk staff was very rude, we road tripped to CA (18hr drive) and got there 1 hour before check in super tired and explained everything but he wouldn’t check us in until 4pm. His tone and body language was very unprofessional then he proceeded to tell me I booked the wrong room to have kids stay in which makes no sense. We were there 4 days and 3 nights not once did house keeping clean our room until the 3rd day (last day) I called front desk and told them I’ve had the pass on the door for them to clean the room and they haven’t yet. They said house keeping comes every other day!! When housekeeping finally came she was unhappy that I had called and complained of a dirty room for the past days we’ve been there. She cleaned while we waited outside the room. It was quick and not thorough she also left all the trash in the room. Which I noticed after she left. Overall not worth your money they charge a lot per night and worst service in my life. I’d never want my kids to see ppl like these ppl at this hotel. Very bad energy and rude.

Well first of all I don’t blame the hotel im upset at the Hotels.com. They told me over the phone they couldn’t make a reservation for me that I had to do it on line. I did the reservation but when I got to the hotel I was not on their system. I had to wait for an hour and still my reservation wasn’t there. And I had my three children waiting in the car outside.

Solo traveler here on family business. Hotel was clearly newly constructed since it had the “new smell,” which meant the room and everything you used had never been used before or gently used by previous guests. However there were signs still left on the ground/carpet that clearly were meant to be hung on the wall at some point. Not a problem for me, but it might turn off guests who want a more high end experience. The room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The Queen bed was up high, very comfortable and I slept well. Free parking on the property was a great thing and plentiful (underground). Outside of the front desk, I never saw any other hotel staffers. Free breakfast was not the best (powdered scrambled eggs were cold and almost inedible and there was no staff there to help guests prepare foods like omelettes or waffles), but they did have ample other foods like fruit, yogurt, cereals, bagels and other breads. It was enough to fill you up to start your day. Coffee machine was broken so that you could not order any espresso drinks like Cappuccino. And the regular coffee I did have tasted burnt and was barely consumable. Fortunately there are few restaurants across the street and a Whole Foods and Starbucks within a short driving distance. I would definitely stay here again, and hotel seemed to be secure, placed in a safe area of Burbank, CA.

I had the pleasure of staying at this location with 5 others families for our trip to Universal Studios for the 8th Grad Bash. It is always clean, comes with continental breakfast, and the best part is the parking is free.
