DoubleTree by Hilton Hot Springs

Initial walk into the hotel smells like it may have allowed smoking in the past. Some staff not too friendly. Pool was small. Cable in the room didnt work. People upstairs let their kids run up/down the hall. Breakfast not included. For $300 a night I expected more. Very disappointed. I would not recommend.

Took my kids for a quick weekend trip. The gentleman at the front desk, Mr. Billy, is wonderful!! So helpful and friendly! He helped us with all the local delicious places to eat! He is so welcoming! The hotel is right on the lake perfect spot for watching sunset! Close to everything! We ate at Fisherman’s Wharf and Poached which were wonderful! Took kids to Pirates Cove miniput, science museum, and the diamond mine. We will definitely stay here again!

The Doubletree worked out well for our needs. Our children enjoyed the warm cookies upon check-in. It was pet friendly so we were able to bring along our dog for an additional fee. The room was clean and hotel was safe and quiet. Great stay for families traveling with children and/or dogs.

Beautiful hotel and great rooms. Beds were really comfortable with a sizeable TV with cable and netflix. Very friendly to our pups. FYI, $125 pet fee. Our floor was pretty noisy with kids running up and down the hall. The pool is fairly nice and the bar was good. Didn't get to try room service as the cook left an hour early. Lots of local eats though. Great staff!

My check in was super easy and both the male and female working was great. The second day, 2 females were working and they were incredibly rude! They would have been better off having two rocks at the front desk then having them work. I still have a good rating because the property was excellent and the first day staff was amazing! The hotel was clean and the pool was great for our family.

If you book a patio on a third party site, you WILL get a ground floor that has an enclosed patio with zero view of anything. Initially when booking, I was hoping for a patio/balcony facing the lake. During the check-in process, the rooms available to me were something close to the pool or close tot the front desk. I asked Tony, so there’s no lake view available? He answered with, not with the type of room you booked. So then I said well, what would the be the difference and he said he couldn’t do that because I used a third party vendor. It would have been nice to know that prior to booking because I would’ve stayed somewhere else or paid for a cheaper room that wasn’t on the ground level. The staff was really nice. The pool was great and had an excellent view. We didn’t use it that much during our stay because it became a playground with kids. I love kids, just was looking for a relaxing weekend getaway. Beds were firm and pillows get flat easily. The bathtub was really narrow and there wasn’t much room to move around in. The hotel was very clean and the grounds were well kept. We didn’t eat at the hotel, so can’t comment on that. Overall, we had a great time, just bummed we didn’t get a lake view as that is why we decided to stay there.
