Hotel is tired (compared to other no items in London we have stayed in), toilets in public areas no clean and the decor in the room was poorly maintained.
Reception staff were polite and helpful, restaurant delivered poor service.
We chose to eat in the hotel on our first night. Restaurant was quiet, but it took an age for anyone to take our order. Ordered a child’s meal, asked if they could swap juice for milk, was told no (what restaurant doesn’t give milk as an option for a child’s drink or offer some flexibility), was told I had to order child dessert at the same time as the rest of the food and not decide after the main! Childs starter came out with the other main meals, not before. Asked for ketchup and mayo, had to pay £1.50 each for each small jar. Asked for vinegar, and got presented with a bowl of it… very random.
We were asked for room number on arrival at restaurant for the bill to be added, only to be shouted at when we started to leave having not paid.
The family room we booked had the sofa bed made to a double, not 2 singles. Reception were quick enough to get us 2 duvets for the first night, only for housekeeping to put it back to a double the second night!
Towels were changed after first night, normal practice to only change if they’re not hung up.
Breakfast was ok, supplies not replenished very quickly, at times no plates in sight, no juice, no bread, and half the hot food missing. But there was however a bowl of ketchup to help yourself too!!

Wonderful location. Hotel lobby is spacious and welcoming. The staff were pleasant and very helpful! Our room was not ready when we arrived (930am) but, the hotel stored our luggage and showed us where the restrooms were to freshen up after a long flight.
We walked from the hotel to Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, area gardens and then made a long trek through Piccadilly to a bakery for a pastry my daughter saw on Tiktok.
Our room was well equipped and comfortable. We had 2 adults and 2 children and our room had a king bed and full sized sofa bed. The room was clean and beds comfortable. We purchased the breakfast option and enjoyed a fresh and filling breakfast prior to catching an Uber to our cruise port.

Booked a room for 4… only 3 beds.
Rang reception and was told they were on their break so could I wait.
Had young children to get into bed so not ideal.
Eventually sent someone with bedding but no duvet..

A bit run down but overall good. The kids play area was disappointing. Breakfast was OK. The room was clean. Most of the staff were very polite. It was fine.

Arrived Easter Sunday. Check in was a breeze, lady at the front desk was very nice and pleasant to talk to.
Around 8pm, called the reception to ask for complimentary water, if available, the guy who answered was rude and told us that the room we booked didn’t include free water. It would’ve been just ok if he told us nicely but it sounded like he’s intimidating us for booking a basic room.
Other cons for this hotel are:
1.) It’s nowhere near the Waterloo Station, therefore should not be named Novotel Waterloo. Novotel Lambeth Palace would be appropriate.
2.) Sink and shower are always clogged. You have wait for at least 30 minutes before you can use them again, otherwise it will overflow/flood.
3.) Bedside USB is useless/not working.
4.) Too many noisy kids running in the hallway and the floor above us.
5.) Breakfast area is very small so the line to get a table is very long every morning. You have to go early to avoid the line. We didn’t know the first time so it took us an hour to have breakfast which would’ve been just 20 minutes.
6.) Very few walkable restaurants, have to order delivery most of the time.
Overall not recommended! Premier Inn would’ve been better for half the price.

Spacious room for a family with two boys (10 and 12 years old). Friendly staff, good breakfast buffet (if you come later than 8 a.m, you have to wait for a while to get seated). Good distance to next Underground station, only a few steps to the Thames with Houses of Parliament. We like to come back at some point

I wish I could give 5 star. Front reception was phenomenal. As mentioned by Expedia they should have given us connecting rooms but the connecting rooms were not available for the executive rooms. Everyday the water was flooding in the shower room. Toiletries were not given in both the room which they added after asking for it. All 4 star for being kids friendly. Only limited options were available for vegan in the breakfast. Our room wasn’t serviced on day second. No toilet rolls refilled or tea coffee were refilled on day 2nd. Had to ring the front desk 2 am in the morning for toilet roll. But we still enjoyed our stay.
