Sunborn London

I have always wanted to try Sunborn Yacht Hotel and I enjoyed it to the max.my children wanted to stay longer - me too😜 Will be booking again next year with my family - hopefully in the new Sunborn Yacht! Can’t wait!!

This was a real treat for us being child free for a night. It's a bit like having the taste of being on a cruise without being on a cruise. It's a tad more expensive than other 4-star hotels we've stayed in but it is a yacht in a great location. We stayed on a Friday and there was no event on st either the Excel or the O2, and it was really peaceful. We had lovely walks along the quayside, across the cable cars to the O2, it was lovely.

We were staying at the Sunborn for 1 night for my daughter’s birthday. Checked in was quick but the staff member wasn’t very welcoming. There was no wow factor upon entering the room. It was clean but very dated. The beds were hard divan base with a thin mattress protector on top. No mattress. It would have been more comfortable sleeping on the floor. The sofa bed for my 2 children was much the same. It was a thin mattress over metal bars that sunk in the middle. The room also wasn’t set up for 4 people. There wasn’t enough towels or robes or pillows. I did call reception and house came and dumped them on the bed about 20 mins later. Nothing was set up in the room for my daughter’s birthday. Not even a little card. Not one staff member acknowledged her birthday at all. Well they didn’t acknowledge any of us. The staff all looked miserable and stressed. We decided not to eat in the restaurant that evening as there was no kids menu available and I’m so glad we didn’t as we bumped into another couple staying there and they had an awful experience. We got the cable cars over to the o2 which was really good and had a meal out there. None of my family had a good night sleep due to the uncomfortable beds and the room was unbearably hot. The breakfast the next morning was average. My daughter enjoyed the croissants and Nutella, but the hot buffet was grim. The Sunborn hotel is a great location but if I was to stay at this part of London again I would choose another hotel.

Lovely yacht. Staff were amazing and friendly. Drinks were expensive even for London. £18 for a cocktail! Only slight issue if anything is the yacht is under London City flight path very close to the airport so naturally they fly very low to the yacht. They do stop flying around 9pm. So didn't impact our sleep but something to bear in mind if you have young children going to bed early. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice. Yacht is located at docklands to easy to get too using the Elizabeth Line underground. We had an overall very nice stay and would stay again.

It a nice hotel and located in a quiet area of London. The hotel is very clean. The only concerns I have about the hotel is that they have limited food options for breakfast. When we checked in only one lift was working and when we wanted to check out the next day non of the lift was working we had to climb the stairs with our baby however. the hotel staff helped to carry our baby stroller and bag using their service lift.

The property is clean a big plus. However, the property is advertised as having cable but all the rooms have terrestrial channels only. Big minus as we planned to escape the children, eat, sleep and watch TV. The coffee machine did not work. A member of staff having attempted to fix it for 20min eventually replaced it. Which he should have done immediately to avoid infringing on our time. We were provided with only one bath towel. The menu for room service is extremely limited although the quality of food is good. We checked out one night early so also lost out financially (We have better amenities at home) Overall, the yacht is the selling point so glad we went it wasnt a 'celebratory' event though because of all the lack of attention to all the small details that would have made it a good experience for us.

I paid for a dock view but got upgraded to a family suite with riverview. Very comfy bed. Wasn't sure how to stop the fan noise even though if said it was off

Sunborn London makes you feel like you’re about to go on a cruise! Our bedroom and balcony was very spacious and very clean. What was unique about it? Apart from the lovely view and the fact that it’s floating on the river, we were lucky enough to also have a jacuzzi and a sauna. Big hit with the kids! The staff are super friendly and very welcoming.

Unable to sleep on sofa bed, its very old and spring of sofa going down when sleep. There is only one small soap in the bathroom for 2 adult and 2 kids. coffee machine was not working as well. we do not like our stay as when we enter in the room look like that room has been open after a long time. No freshness.
