Nice hotel for a short holiday in London. Only a few minutes to walk to the next train station. Good for families.

We had a family room, once the sofa bed was out there wasn’t much room for moving around for 4 people but fine for one night.
Room clean, some mould to shower.
Staff really friendly and helpful.
Breakfast good choice although not as much as other hotels we have stayed at, hot was sausage, bacon, beans, scrambled egg and hash browns. Then toast, croissants, natural yogurt and whole bits of fruit.
Little far out if you are planning on doing tourist things in London, but right next to the dlr. took around 20 mins to get to London city to get to tubes (Tower Hill).

The Hotel was really nice, right on the DRL line, was able to watch planes coming and goin from the airport, staff very friendly, our room was big enough for our party of two adults and two children, breakfast was included and we all very much liked the choice, the only thing that let our stay down was the fact we couldn’t open a window in our room, with four people sleeping in it made it a very uncomfortable stuffy night, we had the air conditioning on but made little difference, the kids slept as they were so tired but us adults found it difficult to sleep, but on that note I would definitely like to stay there again

Clean and friendly hotel, no amenities close by but that was understood.
Accommodation for 4 people in a family room was very tight and fold out bed only really suitable for 1 person.
Room very hot and stuffy, rang reception but no difference was noticed.

So Louise at reception took our bags at 8am so we didn't have to carry them round London all day. The hotel is modern and rooms were comfortable and a good size for London. Staff cleaned the room and then a supervisor checked that everything was to standard.
The staff in the bar and restaurant were excellent, going out of their way to speak to our kids and ask questions about their day etc.
Breakfast was a typical Holiday Inn Express affair with a selection of hot and cold stuff. Breakfast was busy but the staff again were efficient at getting tables cleaned and restocking the food. Don't think there was a single staff member who didn't say good morning or wasn't wearing smile. Such a breath of fresh air for London where the norm is sullen looks and everyone doing the bear minimum.
Hotel is located about 200m from the nearest DLR which will swing you into the city in about 20 mins. Its also at the end of the runway at City airport. the kids loved watching planes take off and landing and I and my wife were grateful that the windows fitters when building the hotel put in soundproof glass and fitted the windows properly !! you could not hear the planes at all.
Great hotel for a family weekend

Breakfast was awful! Burnt sausages, burnt croissants, very little selection for children.

Location was fantastic, the hotel itself was great but the foldout bed was broken and the room was too noisy both with other guests and a whistling fan that we couldn't turn off. Overall I'd stay here again but perhaps not with kids.

No microwave facility to warm baby food which was shocking as every other hotel offers that. They are charging money for water(not even 1 bottle complimentary) so bring your own water. Breakfast was complimentary so don't purchase separately
