I had a back sore after a night sleep and during the weekend as kids next to our room who were making awful noise couldn’t sleep well there. Otherwise, breakfast was the main high light of the hotel.

Overnight family stay. All staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is modern, spacious, has big rooms, and is very clean.

The best respite i have had in a while, clean room, comfy bed, helpful and welcoming staff, great facilities. A free pool table and fuseball table near ground bar. Was great to use jist before heading home. London can be exspensive so little moment like this make the hotel perfect for us. A child free night and a moment to have a youthful koment with payong really makes a great stay.

Lots to like about this place, and would stay again, incl;
Great, warm pool, sauna, steam;
Nice spacious room.
This said:
The bath did not work;
No soap in family changing room for spa;
I was served a glass of wine that had obviously been standing in an open bottle far too long.

The pool was very strange. A splash pool which was fair but half closed off for water baby classes. The chengeing rooms were weird. Only 3 with no locks on either of the doors. No towels either. The babies might have had them

Not a very family friendly hotel. Stayed here with my kids for a conference and the staff seemed disgusted that I had (well behaved) children with me.

Aloft is a bit expensive but it prouds itself for being a 4-star hotel. The bedroom and bed were very good and comfortable, as well as clean. The room service staff was lovely.
However, the main reason for my booking was the swimming pool, as I wanted to spend relaxing time to celebrate my wedding anniversary. Turns out that there were swimming lessons for children in the afternoon, and the pool was significantly smaller than what it looks like in the pictures. Plus, the window glass "view" was to a building site. So anything but relaxing!
I was not made aware of the swimming lessons at any point, either on the booking, website or by the reception staff when I enquired about the swimming pool opening times.
Finally, the reception staff was not very friendly and didn't make an effort to even smile.
So, for the price, I would probably go to a better located hotel or a cheaper one and a separate spa.
The location is good if you are going to Excel or by car. If you are using public transport, it's a good 10 minute walk from the Elizabeth Line, in a road quite dark and empty in the evening. There's the option to change it to the DLR but you need to pay an extra ticket.

It was a clean, tidy and modern hotel. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a room on the 8th floor overlooking the trainline and London.
Be aware there is building work going on surrounding the hotel which now restricts views and accessibility.
The bed was huge and comfortable (but rather warm!) Facilities were clean with everything there and working.
Our room was quiet as we were away from the lifts and ground floor. We didn't need to have our room cleaned but the staff were friendly and everything looked tidy.
Breakfast was good. Better on our first morning as the second was busy and some items ran out. The restaurant was also quite noisy but we found a less busy spot.
A mix of visitors, business, couples, friends and family etc.
One downside was the pool area.( We had booked this hotel in part because of it's pool. ) It is a small pool with swimming lessons taking part every morning. Many children in and out, families stood watching and noise and commotion in the pool area. Access to the sauna and steam room is restricted to certain times too. I'd advise checking as no information on the website.
Very handy for the train in and out with a few changes.
