My family of 5 had two rooms, one a family suite that was very comfortable for the couple and one 11-year-old, and a twin bed room. The manager allowed us to store our 7 bags of luggage in a secure space upon our early arrival, allowing us to explore the city. Breakfast was excellent with many places to sit. Those sausages were especially yummy, as was the variety of food overall. The front desk made an extra effort to rectify a misunderstanding of the need for twin bedroom for my granddaughter and me, finding just what we needed without making me feel that I had misunderstood what I had reserved. The location in city centre not far from the train or shops or restaurants was just what we needed. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was modern and clean. The only issue in the bathroom was difficulty for us in regulating shower temperature--perhaps a sign with instructions could be posted. Every staff person with whom I interacted was so kind and helpful. One even provided a map with clear directions to the train. Overall, the experience for our 2 nights in Bath at the Hampton by Hilton Bath City was unequivocally positive. I recommend wholeheartedly.

10/10 experience!! I travel a LOT and this is the cleanest hotel that I can remember! We booked the connecting rooms for our family of five and it was ideal! One room has two twins and ours had a queen and twin sofa bed. Superrrrr clean- felt like we were the first guests. Had a great breakfast included. Would definitely go back.

My family and I stayed for a night. We walked to the Thermae baths and easily found plenty of dining options. The hotel is right in the old part of Bath so walking to see the city in the morning was easy and breakfast was good too. The staff were super helpful and looked after our luggage for us while we explored despite the hotel being super busy. The only downside was loading and unloading the car was a little tricky as there is no good place to stop for any time and the traffic is bad in that area of town. Staff directed me to a great car park close by though.

Loved our one night stay. Great location, comfy and clean room and love the hotel decor. We requested a cot for our 7 month old daughter which was in the room when we arrived along with a baby bath and hooded baby towel 😊 We parked in Southgate for secure parking for 24 hours which cost £18- it's a shame the hotel can't do some sort of discount but even the cost of parking along with the cost of the stay was very fair for the location/comfort and breakfast being included too! Great choice at breakfast, the only thing was no bacon so husband was surprised by that but loved the other options!

This modern property is clean, well-appointed, comfortable, quiet, and convenient for a visit to Bath. We appreciated the proximity to the train station and to several food shops and cafes. The 4 pm check in time is a bit late and the staff can be harried by the arrival/departure of groups and families, although they seem to handle things well and graciously. Very, very good value for the price!

A disappointing stay at the Hilton. Was told upon arrival that the room I booked was not appropriate for a child and two adults, despite it clearly stating on the Expedia website that “children stay free when using the existing bedding with a parent or guardian”. I felt told off and embarrassed by the management and said the issue lay between them and Expedia. It does beg the question: do children really stay free if you have to book a more expensive room to have them stay for “free”? I expected more from a Hilton Hotel. Location of the hotel was good. Walking distance to everything Bath has to offer. Breakfast was a busy affair with limited options. Would not recommend and will not return.

Location was just a short walk from shops and dining. Rooms were a nice size and the connecting rooms served our family of four well. Cleanliness outside of the rooms was an issue - lots of stains on the hallway carpets. Rooms were clean, though. A good, affordable option for Bath.

We are regular Bath visitors, however, this was our first stay at the Hampton by Hilton. The location of the property is excellent and we enjoyed the design both of the public spaces and our room, all of which compare favourably with hotels in a similar star and price bracket. The breakfast has very good variety and everything was very clean, however, there were clear signs of staff shortages on the housekeeping side. Our room was made up for two instead of three people and while this was fixed by the front of house staff, towels etc for the third guest were forgotten and never materialized, despite a friendly reminder. This would not necessarily keep us from returning, however, the sofabed had a very uncomfortable ridge in the middle and was as hard as a rock so we will stay elsewhere when travelling to Bath next as a family.

Clean bright rooms with excellent full breakfast included. Convenient for walking to see all the sites in Bath. Staff were incredibly friendly. Adjoining rooms worked well for our family of four (kids ages 8&9) Only hard part was finding the offsite parking recommended by the hotel prior to our check in. We never did find the Southgate parking lot suggested by the hotel email. Ultimately ended up at another parking lot further away. Suggest including a map of parking lot or doing a lot of planning of where to park prior to arriving in the city streets which can be busy and single direction.
