We had a great time. The kids and adults enjoyed the pool. Food and grocery market was expensive and not a lot of selection. Restaurant staff was very accommodating especially when we requested fresh meats and fish for barbecuing . It was prepared just how we wanted. They only thing I was disappointed was the waiting area (lobby) considering it get very hot during the summer months. A ceiling fan would have been nice in the lobby. We were dreaded in sweat while waiting for our room and picked up our taxi.

We stayed here last summer and it was absolutely wonderful. Staff was lovely and informative. My kids loved the pool and volleyball net. One downside (to no fault of hotel) was many guests would “stake out” and claim pool chairs in the morning and then not show up for 5 hours leaving those of us actually using the pool To cram into one or two chairs that came available. Again not fault of hotel Or staff but we have stayed at other resorts that don’t allow this. all in all a wonderful family Vacation and would go back in a heartbeat.

Has a great time. Beautiful facility and very attentive staff. We had to scramble to find a place because of flight cancellations and they really took care of my family and I. Would stay again without hesitation.

First time there and would return. The pool options were great for older kids like ours and the property was very safe and clean and comfortable. I wish I would have understood the layout better when booking as the villas are a seperate part of the resort that wasn't great for my son who recently had knee surgery but staff was very accomodating.

The resort portrays itself as a family resort and it is not. It has a couple things for kids. The kids poop we were really excited for was so cold the kids could not play in it. There was a kids area for crafts. We tried to stop in there multiple times and no one was there with no explanation. The resort has 4 restaurants but they are never open all at the same time. Which limits your options. The Westin was a lot of false advertising.

This hotel has a lot going for it: striking architecture & design elements, large suites, excellent service and proximity to our favorite south Baja town- San Jose Del Cabo. Add excellent customer service and the only moderating elements are over-priced food & drink, plus no swimming on the beach. Multiple pools help offset the latter, and a rental car helps avoid the budget busting menu. $14 poolside drinks and $100 poolside lunches (for 2) with all the excellent San Jose restaurants just 15 minutes away = rent a car. Hotel has adult-only pool if you want to avoid children at play in their nearby pool. (But we enjoy them and prefer to be near.)

When I booked on Expedia it didn't explain what the European Plan was. Naive in resort travel, I didn't know that it meant food was not included. I couldn't change it after the fact to All Inclusive. People said it was expensive and it is. Expect to pay $50US per person per meal. We mainly ate the Buffet but the food declined as the weekend wore on. An example is desserts. Friday - full slices of cakes and cheesecakes. Saturday night, little squares of said cakes & cheesecakes (left overs) and Sunday - mini churros. First night, lobster & ribs. Next two nights, various cubed meats. There was only one fish offered the last night. We finally hoofed it over the side that is condos to get snacks at the deli and eat at their cafe (can't charge to the room from there) for great fish tacos. We had roomservice for breakfast on our last morning and it was excellent but still $50 per person. Other than the food - our room was fantastic. We saw whales nonstop and since we visited in February - there was no problem getting beach chairs and pretty empty pools. Also only a few kids so the pools weren't overwhelmed. We would stay there again but would book direct and get all inclusive.

We went to Cabo for our 25th Wedding Anniversary in early January. The Westin Hotel and Resort, along with its staff, made it a truly memorable occasion. I highly recommend going in January, picture perfect weather and not crowded. Understand, you are not going to walk anywhere at the Westin, except along the beach and around the resort as it is along the Corridor (15 min ride to Cabo San Lucas, 10 min to San Jose del Cabo). We booked a Kayaking trip (they pick you up and drop you off at the Hotel), a Desert 4x4 Safari / Tequila tasting tour (Fantastic) and Sunset Catamaran Cruise (Beautiful) through the Hotel. It was very easy to take the Hotel Van to Cabo San Lucas ($15 round trip) or a Taxi ($20 one way). Cabo San Lucas is the party town, things are more laid back in the traditional Mexican Town of San Jose....GREAT Restaurants in both, hotel helped pick them, as did word of mouth from other guest. We also ate at the Westin several times, food was great. Highly recommend the Beach Club level room with the Breakfast and Cocktails included in the room price. Some write ups claim things are expensive in Cabo, we live in the DC Area and found the prices to be the same as hear, if not cheaper. We would go again in a heart beat. If we took our kids, we may want to stay a little closer to or in Cabo San Lucas....but for a romantic get away.....The Westin was perfect.
