Palmilla was an amazing oasis to sit back and relax. Great for couples and families. Definitely ask to take the tour from Paquito as soon as your arrive so you can know where all the pools, restaurants and amenities are. Pacito is the best and will take fabulous photos of you.
Drinks and food at every restaurant were amazing and top notch. My favorite restaurant was Seared but all of them are high quality and will not disappoint. The experience at Hoshi was amazing as well!
The views on the property were almost surreal. Beautiful palm trees everywhere and great landscaping. The staff was very professional whether it came to the restaurants, the spa, and the attendant assigned to your room. Everyone spoke English and there were no language barriers.
Enjoyed it and would come back.
Would not recommend for solo travelers.

The One&Only Palmilla is on our shortlist of favorite & best resorts anywhere in the world.
I must commend and thank our amazing hosts Diana and Yune. They were so delightful and helpful! They exemplified the ideals of O&O as did all other members of the staff we met while there. Service is not the problem...
The service is impeccable and the property is immaculate so it pangs me to give a 4 star review. It should be a 5. I want to give a 5. But in good consciousness, I can't. The food did not live up to the expectation set for every other aspect for the brand.
Our dinners were underwhelming yet F&B is so much a part of the overall experience when selecting an ultra-luxury property. Something has slipped and I can only hope it will get addressed before our next visit.
When we first visited the hotel in 2017, we were blown away with Suviche. Not anymore. We get far better Sushi at a couple of our hometown Sushi restaurants north of Atlanta, GA.
Agua was underwhelming, even a let-down. Our family of 4 adults ordered a variety of dishes - all okay, none were great. Okay is not good enough for O&O.
So, after a couple of meals at O&O, we started exploring local options to have dinner off-resort. Maybe that's a good thing, but it shouldn't feel necessary. Worth noting - we had stayed at Viceroy with our adult daughters before moving to O&O. The food was better there.
We still love it & we'll be back. Please, just fix the dining. Blow us away next time.

It was a great four days here. The staff, the service, the property and amenities were top notch and left nothing to be desired. We were pleasantly surprised by all the activities they had for the kids - including a smores session and a movie night among the palm trees. Wonderful memories. We are definitely planning on returning here someday!

This resort is steeped in excellence. From the facilities to the service - everything is outstanding. Staff is geared toward making your experience at Pamilla a restful break away from your everyday life. Every detail is catered to. The "kids" pool is an oceanside infinity pool with breathtaking views. Palmilla isn't for the budget minded traveler, but if you don't mind splurging a bit, you will be rewarded. We are already planning our trip next year.

We have stayed here several times and it is one of our very favorite hotels. This trip, we checked in just in time for a tropical storm! We had about an hour by the pool, the then the wind and rain began. The next day was torrential, and we stayed hunkered down in our room (which was a spacious 2 Queen room with an amazing view, too bad this time it was mainly of a major storm!). They delivered room service like a normal day! The next day was still stormy, but we ventured out to the restaurant. Many of the staff were not able to make it in to work as there were flooded roads, but the team rose to the occasion, and provided a wonderful breakfast. They ended up comping all meals including drinks during our stay. The hotel was on generator power, but continued to provide OUTSTANDING service. They provided daily complimentary massages to all the guests, the kids club continued to entertain the kids, and I really can't express how wonderful the entire staff was. From the gardeners and crew who immediately began the clean-up, to the waiters and butlers, everyone went above and beyond. If you're going to be stuck in a tropical storm, trust me, this is where you want to be! Also, we felt completely safe. The hotel has multiple layers of security, and a truly dedicated team. We ended up making many friends with other guests, since we were all going through it together, and I wouldn't hesitate to go back. Thank you O&O for everything, and we'll see you again when it's sunny!
