Century Southern Tower Hotel

Best hotel if you want to be next to Shinjuku station. Takashimaya is just across a bridge. Nice big room with a good view. Definitely will recommend to friends and family.

This was third time we stay in here, lot of family travel memories. Spectacular view!

Easy access to JR Shinjuku Station. Located right at the heart of shopping districts. Strongly recommended for travelling with kids.

Excellent location. Close to train stations. Room (we booked triple beds for 2 adults and a kid) is spacious and quiet. Beds are wider than usual Japanese beds. Room is tidy up daily with fresh towel. AC is strong. Shower (water pressure) is good. Buffet breakfast is underwhelming but it’s convenient. You can find few breakfast places 5 mins walk away at NEWoMan mall, Starbuck or cafe nearby. There are 2 MacDonalds nearby. The only thing missing is coined laundry machine inside hotel. But there is a self serve laundry mat 7 mins walk away (100 yen for small load washing 1/2 hour and 100 yen for dryer 10 mins). Check in is efficient and the staff can speak quite good English. We booked a triple room for 2 adults and 1 kid, so the staff automatically give us 3 vouchers for buffer breakfast. We use the water fountain and ice machine to fill up water bottle daily, so we don’t have to buy bottle water that often. The 7-11 in main floor is a plus. My boy gets a smoothie daily. Last, we took the limo bus from airport to hotel (with three luggages, it’s a life saver) and it’s one of the key reasons we pick this hotel.

Excellent location in the heart of Shinjuku and very short distance to the train station. The hotel is getting a little old and the room was not that clean (chewing gum on the floor). We booked a room for 4 people (2 adult 2 kids) with 2 twin beds but the beds were pretty small, more like a large single. The staffs were nice and efficient.

This was our family favourite due to its excellent location but this time round the staff were clearly a lot more rude than before. Such a pity

The hotel was near the train station and the mall which made it conveniently located. If at any point my family and I needed food or transportation, there was never a hassle because of the location of the hotel. The staff were very kind and any questions I had were answered in a quick and easy way to understand. There was no language barrier problem making communication as easy as it gets!!! Overall, the experience at Hotel Century was AMAZING!!!!

I have stayed at this hotel more than 10 times in the past 20 years, for both business and family trips. It continues to be my top choice whenever I visit Tokyo, primarily because of its excellent location and comparatively spacious rooms. Shinjuku is just a short walk away, and Tokyo Hands and Takashimaya are conveniently located within three minutes of the hotel. However, one area where the hotel could improve is its in-room facilities. There are no USB chargers in the rooms, which seems behind the times. It might be time for the hotel to review its amenities and bring them up to date.

The room was very average and very dusty, i asked them to clean it well and realized that they only dust around the phone but not under the phone to give an example. We intially booked as the rating was 9.2 and comparing it to other hotels we stayed in this was by far the most average one. Theyvwere kind enough to not charge for an extra bed even though my inital booking was for 2 adults and an 11 year old child in a 2 single bed room. By default it should have an extra bed but if its a cultural thing i respect that for a child to sleep next to a parent but size also makes a difference. We also booked breakfast and breakfast options are below average, would have skipped breakfast if i knew better also booking was for 2 adults and 1 child and initally they said we had to pay for the child breakfast which also didnt make sense and they were kind enough again to issue extra vouchers for her. Location is good and everything overall is average and if i had the choice to stay there again i for sure would choose other options. However, staff were accomedating and helped us get a last minute tsxi to the airport.
