My family had a great experience at Hyatt. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Someone was always at the front door to assist. Our rooms were spacious and the view was everything. The bathroom had some wear and tears, but housekeeping was excellent. The breakfast buffet had something for everyone and the servers are excellent. Ibeth our server was very sweet and attentive. When we were leaving, she came to say bye to my daughter, which was so sweet. Roberto was very kind as well. We also had a great experience at the spa. There are some streets vendors around the hotel, which can be annoying at times, but it’s every where in Cartagena. If traveling there be mentally prepared for that. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

This place was truly amazing. It exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious. Our favorite meal of the trip was the ceviche in the hotel restaurant. We will definitely recommend the Hyatt to our friends and family.

The staff was great! Mayra welcomed us and provided all of the necessary details. There are 3 pools, one of which is for children. The food is great and location is perfect! Across the beach and short cab ride from the walled city.

We spent two nights in a lovely sea front room on the 25th floor. The room had amazing ocean views and was very spacious, with two queen size beds, and a large bathroom with a shower and a bathtub. The reception staff are all very helpful and friendly. The large pool area (pools on three different levels) is on the 10th/14th floor. The pool area is rather packed and quite noisy (guests, kids, music). The hotel sells affordable day passes to non guests. At the pool area they have a nice cart with firendly staff serving freshly made lunch until 14:30 (eg. sushi rolls, kebabs). The restaurant area is being rebuilt (summer 2023-summer 2024), so breakfast and dining takes place in the less attractive conference area. Next door there is a small mall and some fast food restaurants. The beach area and the neighbouring streets looked a little gritty, but OK for a walk during day time. It’s a five minute cab ride into the old town (15,000 pesos).

We were a group of 8 family and friends going to Cartagena for the first time . We debated a lot about staying in the walled city versus at the Hyatt which was a mile away and finally decided to stay at the Hyatt. It was definitely the right decision for us . We could walk or take the Uber to the city and come back and relax and enjoy the pool away from all the noise in the city . The hotel service was excellent! Pools were great after spending time outside in the heat .

Worst possible experience. First of all when you get there you are charged with an extra 20% that wasn’t in the web, then the bar closes at 10pm even on fridays. Only a hotel for family plans no for friends

I had a terrible experience because of the staff working at Cafe experience on the lobby floor (12th floor). Since the baby was 7 months old, I bought and brought commercially available baby food for the trip and asked him to warm it up to feed the baby, but bringing in outside food was refused saying a signature was required. The image of Hyatt was ruined by one service from a really terribly inflexible and sensible staff. Because of his poor judgment, my baby had to cry without food for a while.
