Hyatt Place Kelowna

Stayed a couple nights with family. The breakfast was amazing with lots of options. Rashad and Yaseen were very helpful and accommodated our dietary restrictions. The pool was not very clean and was closed a couple times. We had to ask the staff for room service continuously as our room was not cleaned when we came back to our room. Hotel was overall very good and clean.

Perfect for family trip

This is not the fault of the hotel, but there was a huge party here when we arrived late at night, about 10:30 PM. People running everywhere and screaming literally. The running continued late into the night and unfortunately, the room above us had some runners as well. I was trying to imagine. What on earth were they doing by running back-and-forth and back-and-forth but my entire family cannot sleep. The party downstairs allegedly wrapped up around 11 or 1130 but the party did not stop. Again, not the fault of the hotel, but absolutely not worth the enormous price. We paid to stay here for one night. I would absolutely not stay here again, knowing that the walls are so thin. One positive is that the kids liked the breakfast and it was a nice environment downstairs. also, very close walk to Starbucks if you don’t like hotel coffee. Location was good overall. $12 to park unless you were a Hyatt member then $6 to park.

Nice staff and nice location, recommend when travelling with family

Normally, being by the elevators does not bother me. Unfortunately, it was incredibly loud and noisy. It literally sounded like the people were in my room. Not fun to be woken up at 6:00 in the morning or late at night, both times I wish that the other guests were more considerate of the noise levels of the groups as there was kids soccer tournament. Situations kept happening that I did not have much patience for at the end I understand and respect it was a very busy weekend , I Could not utilize the pool or roof top because my keys wasn't working (It ends up being a systemal issue). Couldn't utilize room service as no one told me about the numbering system until the last order. One of the staff was very rude to me when asking for extended check out due to a later flight. One of the managers however, was the only one that was very helpful in all my frustrating situations allowing me to vent. I would love to try and stay here again, but far from the elevators. Must note the fries are amazing!

The door lock didn’t lock properly on the door we had to lift the door to lock in place which is a hassle with kids to make sure the door is locked properly Also one of the rooms none of the tv worked and the staff couldn’t figure it out why

Excelent for my family

We were family of 4 still got one of the worse room which was corner room. I requested but I got info that entire hotel is booked and they prefer 1 night stay customer over 3 nights. No one listen so have to stay and terrible stay compared to all other hotels I stayed. Staff missed cleaning and when called then offer cleaning like changing towels like crazy. When I ask for anything like tissue paper , fork spoons as nothing was provided so reception said come down to get it compared to other hotels they bring to you. I asked cleaning staff they said it’s crazy you should stay and we will bring to you. Breakfast was great , breakfast server was great, hotel location is perfect. At the end I will not stay in this hotel just for breakfast and location as there are lot around there.

Pool is closed until end of April... fyi. Staff tried to make up for it by arranging for us to swim at the rec centre and we only had to show our room key and they would let us in. So, it all worked out in the end and we felt taken care of. My kiddos loved the hot food at the continental breakfast.
