I've stayed at this hotel many times, and stayed at many Fairmont properties, and they are normally outstanding. However, on this stay, the room was very hot on arrival. They brought in the engineers who turned off the heating system, opened a window, and said it would get better. We returned to the room at midnight, and it was still way too hot (over 25 C), but being late we didn't want to move. Ended up having a horrible night sleep. The next morning we mentioned it at check out and the front desk comped the valet parking. After spending $300 on a junior suite for a special weekend away, getting $35 comped in valet parking after the room disappointed in every way was disappointing to say the least.

It was such a lovely place which had a great location to walk or even to go and watch the game and also have a great time with family and friends

We were not given wifi instructions upon our check in which caused quite an inconvenience. I booked two rooms fory family and visiting parents with no cell phone reception. As a result, I had to run around trying to figure out how to connect to hotel wifi. Not something we typically get at Fairmont.

Overall, my 3-night stay was underwhelming. At no time did I feel special in any way - in fact when I called to inform them of my flight delay I was left on hold for 18 minutes; when I arrived at 1:00 the staff was basically here's your key see ya - no extra effort - keeping in mind I have informed them I been travelling with delays for 10 hours. In terms of the room - ok - but housekeeping cleans ALL DAY meaning it is VERY HARD to work from your room or take calls. If you are an international traveller be advised that children whether it is in the club lounge or lobby run around all over - while this may be the responsibility of the parent - staff do nothing to address the behaviour. If I had to choose in the future I would have to think hard before chosing a Fairmont property. Hope this helps

Did not make an effort to go above and beyond. Our kids were in another room on same floor, but not close. Had mentioned this in reservation that we wanted rooms close. However, when we checked in, they were not.

I emailed and asked a month prior to please be placed in an area away from the ice machine and elevator. Because I have a sleeping disorder. My room literally was connected to the ice machine room and my bathroom was next to the elevator. So all night long I heard the ice machine and the elevator going. People getting off and on. Now the room. We could hardly get our suitcases past the bed with the door open. This was a family trip for my Husband and my Som and I. I thought I’d splurge and get us a nice hotel. But the beds were rock hard I was so achy for the 4 days and two days after. They also had no fridge or microwave. Nor did they have any room to put it. But they did have a very expensive mini bar. Lol I’m very upset about the location of my room. For $1,600 for 4 days you’d think maybe they could have done better. :( The pool is lovely and the room service was a fun treat. The room was very clean. I was happy with that. :) Our view was of a brick wall exit windows and a bunch of windows looked directly into our room. So I kept the windows closed the entire time.

The upgraded renovated junior suite felt a bit like a waste of money. It wasn't very clean at all, it had one small window that looked onto the corner of the building so you could see no actual sky so it felt like a cave. And the towel bar was falling off, the tap dripped into a rusty tub and a handle came off in my hand, so renovated did not feel like an accurate description.

This is a lovely building in a great location. Fairmont always had excellent service. The pool is smaller than I expected but very clean and pretty. I was surprised at the amount of kids at the pool. The room service was great and the room was beautiful.
