Hilton Garden Inn Calgary Downtown

Everything about the place and staff were excellent. What was a little unsettling was the rampant drug use on the streets around the hotel. Not a place i would want my kids to see.

A very nice hotel but a bit of a rough area of downtown. Convenient to transit and Studio Bell which was great. Found the hot water to be way too hot, especially for kids. Left faucet handle in the middle and water was already hot! Maybe want to regulate your water temps for safety. Otherwise, thank you for a lovely stay!

It was very close to museums, the zoo, the Saddledome and other amenities. I didn't like the limited hours on dining. Buffet breakfast was offered until 10 am. There was no other dining hours offered for families. The lounge was available but seating was very limited.

Area - hotel is situated directly beside a large homeless shelter. Dozens and dozens and dozens of homeless men and those experiencing addictions everywhere, including on the ramp going into the hotel (one man was so passed out I had to check if he was breathing/alive). Not safe/comfortable to walk outside. Room - sheets were dirty and we had to ask them to come and change them. Then I realized the comforter was dirty so I asked the staff if they were changed each time and the staff told me that they were not changed between guests. Staff - rude and unhelpful Overall - I would NEVER go back and pay to stay in such a place. When i checked out the staff asked about my stay and I told her it was terrible and that they should warn people about the homeless shelter next door and she said it was posted online, which I disagree with, because if it’s even there it is very well hidden. I had no idea or I would not have exposed my family to this!
