This is a very family oriented property. We stayed at the campground in 1989 with our sons, in 2005 with our oldest grandson and in 2023 at the Inn with our 5th grandchild. The owner greeted us and was very friendly, especially to our granddaughter. The room was excellent with a backdoor view as beautiful as the front! The room was very clean, breakfast and dinner options were great. Definitely would recommend Yellowstone Valley Inn to anyone visiting the area!

Beautiful view. YVI was our base camp for the week. Outdoor games, pool, hot tub. We visited family and friends in the area, and several trips to The Park.

Our stay was really nice and enjoyable! We we're blown away by the balcony view and the views of property. The customer service was excellent. Everyone was so polite and helpful and wore smiles the whole time. I know they have staffing problems in the past but we we're really grateful to show up and have the staff available for everything that was offered. The front desk helped anytime we needed anything. The breakfast options we're ok. My sons boiled eggs we're not good but he threw them away before telling me and letting me take them to get exchanged for better ones. The coffee options we're excellent. We didn't take avantage of dinner. My children enjoyed the hot tub. I liked that the property has fire pits for you to use their wood at their cost anytime. The only things that would have been better was the smell of the rooms we're funky somehow. We had to open doors and air it out. We had two rooms. One was suppose to come with a mountain view and it only had tiny windows. That was really disappointing especially after seeing our other room with a balcony view and the other rooms that we're available that they didn't give us. The laundry was really pricey. After being at another hotel and them charging $1 to $2 for loads and being charged $4 a load here that was really a kick in the gut. Lastly, the balcony flooring really needs to be fixed. It was very unsafe and I was afraid we would have an accident. I brought it up to the staff.

Had an amazing time here. This place was so clean and the customer service is unmatched. If you need something their store probably has it. Beds were so comfortable and the sheets were so soft. Amazing views all around, but I think our room (23) had the best. I definitely recommend this place. It’s made for kids and adults. There is a restaurant and a bar right there. Not to mention a coffee shop. This place is only a short distance to Yellowstone.

Our family stayed in one of the 20 cabins on the property. Our cabin had 2 full size beds, a refrigerator, a microwave, a full bath, and free breakfast. However, the shower is 24" x 24" (NOT KIDDING) and the breakfast was a choice of packaged peaches, string cheese, a bagel, or packaged cereal with milk or a 1/4 C juice (NOT KIDDING). The property is ideal for RVs and motorhome guests who can cook their own meals as the restaurant onsite was charging $27.99 for their buffet that we declined. The nearest restaurants are in Cody which is 18 miles east, but there is a Walmart located there so you can grab a frozen meal and eat dinner in the room if you get there after the restaurants close at 9pm. Walmart closes at 11pm. So, don't stay for the free breakfast or comfortable showers, because they provide the bare minimum. It is a clean and well kept property, though.
