Best Western Sunset Inn

My family and I were on our summer vacation -- where we were exploring Yellowstone, Mt Rushmore, and the surrounding areas. This Best Western was our second favorite hotel. We LOVED that we were on parking lot level were we did not need to climb any steps or take any elevators. This hotel had the BEST breakfast of all the hotels we stayed in. My kids ate more for breakfast here then they did for three days. Fantastic breakfast offerings and service. The outdoor and indoor pools were great. The pool towels were a little small but we loved our pool time and options. My one point of "opportunity" was the hotel room carpet. I look my shoes and socks off and within minutes of walking around, the bottom of my feet were black from the dirty carpeting. This was a huge turnoff. Overall, this was one of our best hotels we stayed in throughout vacation.

The best place to stay in Cody with kids.

Perfect for families with a lovely outdoor and indoor pool and play area. Very nice well maintained grounds. Rooms are a bit small - however, they are convenient and walkable to William Cody museum, Dairy Queen and other restaurants. The rodeo in town is terrific!

Great for families

Decided to stay in Cody for a night. My bad I didn’t think a Tuesday night would be hard to find a room but I was wrong. We had a few options. We have stayed at best westerns before and had no issues. It was $500 for the night but again no options and had kids with so figured pay more to feel more safe. Open the door and smells something fierce, very musty. The upstairs light didn’t work but my kids were too scared to sleep up there anyways. Weird sounds coming from somewhere, ended up with all four of us in a king bed. Creepy statue in the corner of the living room. Breakfast was mediocre. Definitely was not a $500 room. Stay somewhere else.

Comfortable bed! The room looked like it was updated recently! The tub was removed, and kids tub / standup shower one piece put in to replace the old tub shower! Only complaint was the real short toilet! Very quiet! Great breakfast on the outdoor patio! A Great steak house next door and a really great bonus is there a Dairy Queen next to the steak house! IYou have a private parking spot in front of your card key outside door! Like I said I didn't see loud or rowdy neighbors! Close to Yellowstone park , one hour and quarter away! Friendly staff!

This property was amazing for our family. The cherry on top was we got pancakes made outside on the black stone for breakfast!

This was our second time staying at the BW sunset inn. Rooms are clean and basic with nice amenities on the property such as laundry, pool, fitness room and a play area for kiddos. We will stay there again.

This hotel was quiet, clean, and easily accessible from our car since we could park right in front of our room. Having 2 littles and being pregnant, having our car so close was amazing! I will admit, from the outside, driving up, it looks like a typical “motel” and not overly impressive. But the rooms were great and very clean, house cleaning came daily to make the beds and empty the trash and bring fresh towels. And the indoor pool/spa was great! They also have a playground outside for the kids and an outdoor pool (but the outdoor pool was closed cause it’s only may). But overall we really annoyed our stay here! We’d def stay again!

The hotel is nicely decorated and clean. The rooms are big and the beds are comfortable. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast (somewhat small breakfast room) is simple but very good. Very nice and well-kept motel complex with outdoor pool, indoor pool, jacuzzi, gym, laundry, picnic area and children's playground. Highly recommended Best Western Hotel!
