I took my three grandkids to meet Lake Michigan. Chose the Lighthouse Inn for our stay. Read some reviews and was a little leary because of some of them. I almost switched but that would have been a huge mistake. We all loved all of it! The beach is spectacular. Waking up with a view of the lake and hearing the waves was spectacular. Good food at the restraurant. Pool was fun. Quiet, clean and super friendly staff. We will be back!

Room was damp. Bathroom door stuck - we had to help our children “escape” every time they used the bathroom. Unfortunately our room was next to one of the main exits so there was CONSTANT door slamming at all hours of the night. Ground floor with a view of Lake Michigan but a lot of people walking around the building and looking right into our room. We picked this hotel for the view, knowing it was dates but we would not stay again.

We stayed here for the Maritime Marathon and it was the perfect location! My family was able to cheer me on at mile 8.5 and 17.5 just by walking out to the parking area. Then they went back to the pool to play. It was perfect!

While it was certainly dated, it was still a comfortable and clean room. Only downside was the pool was only open until 9 for kids. During the summer maybe having it open til 10 would be nicer as longer nights keep families out later. We like to take a swim before bed to relax. Other than that, it was a fabulous stay. Best part was sleeping with the windows open and the waves putting us to sleep. Definitely will be back!

The Hotel was a great place to stay with my family! The restaurant had a beautiful view and the food was delish! We had dinner and breakfast the next day with the service and food being perfect. It's a older and more quite place to stay and has other restaurants near by.

It was a real trip to have a family reunion. My stay was great! I would only suggest they update/upgrade the bedding/mattresses or mattress pads for more comfort.

On-site restaurant with panoramic lake views and decent food. Breakfast vouchers given for each day of stay, but we still seemed to overpay for breakfast somehow. Our room was on the west wing, which seemed to be newer. The main building hallways seemed to buckle under foot like old plywood. The west wing floors were solid. Our room, upon entering, had a stale musty smell masked with a fresh deodorizer scent. The bed was nice and firm. The AC was amazing. We paid for lake view, but got a side facing window. Technically lake view, and it was pretty with beach and seagulls, but will blind you if you look out at sunset. Fridge worked great, TV was good. Bathroom was clean, but not ideal. The toilet seemed to be a short, mini kid's toilet, it also barely flushed. The counter seemed rigged up and was cracking. The shower knob is unmarked and hard to navigate. The shower head is low, I had to duck to get my head under it. The water pressure was great. But if the neighbor was also showering, expect to battle for hot and cold. And like most places we've stayed, the bathroom exhaust fan is useless. We had to open the bathroom door to unfog the mirror.
Overall, it's dated, but clean, with nice scenery. We would stay again.

We had some problems with our dining experiences, supper and breakfast. People seated after us received their food before us. It wasn’t busy and they had enough workers so that wasn’t the problem. The dining area was ran by a bunch of kids. Not happy at all!

When arriving our room smelled musty and the floor was damp. We thought they maybe had just cleaned the carpets or something and have 2 young kids so didn't have much time to think past that. The next morning the wall closest to the air conditioner was so wet that you could almost squish out water. Upon checkout I told the older woman at the desk about it and my response was "dont't worry about it we know you guys didn't do it, that air conditioner leaks, we'll get a shopvac in there" OK...then why did you put a family of 4 in that room, we have a young baby (8 months) and that can't be good for her to breathe in. Was thinking we'd get a discount or the room price refunded but nope. The more I think about it the more I'm bothered that I didn't speak up earlier to get our rooms switched. When you have all the items we had with 2 young kids you're just happy to get in the room, any room, sometimes.
