Great sign- in. Comfortable hotel. Good breakfast. The bathtub had stains and needs to be replaced.
Good family restaurant nearby; tasty dinner for good price.
The Maritime Museum and submarine are excellent. Rahr-West Art Museum is too.

I was better than I thought. Inexpensive, clean rooms, gym and game room, an amazing made to order breakfast, easy to find location. The staff is above and beyond helpful. The harbor decor was perfect. Will definitely be a frequent guest when visiting family

Decent hotel for the price. Some pros and cons...
Pros- Super Friendly staff, always ready to help. Good selection of breakfast and the ability to preorder and pick up was great for us! The kids loved the pateries! It was pretty quiet at night, which was nice. Little game room with shuffle board and pacman, the kids enjoyed that too. Great area, only a few minutes from downtown and the gorgeous coast.
Cons- The carpet in the room was really dirty. Had to keep our shoes on. Beds were comfy, but made a lot of noise when you move. Slight musty smell when the little dehumidifier ran.
But it served its purpose. Would stay again.

The rooms were clean, and there was little noise from anyone else in the hotel. However, there was a lot of highway noise. Two things which were kind of a surprise were that there were no in-room coffee makers, and no elevator. Not such a huge deal for us to climb stairs, but for those with small children, a lot of luggage, or mobility issues, it would have been.

We were in Manitowoc for a family gathering and decided to try Harbor Town Inn. This is a former Super 8 hotel that went independent in a fantastic way. The staff were all super friendly and there were very nice public spaces indoors and out. You order breakfast the night before - things like egg, cheese and sausage breakfast sandwiches, fresh fruit and biscuits and gravy - and they are ready for you to eat in the dining room or take back to your room. Really the only downside is the location is right on a busy road and we had four people and the beds were fulls instead of queens for double beds - but that was more my fault for not noticing than the hotel's. I would stay here again and hope these owners consider buying the run-down hotel on the lake as I think they could do some fantastic things with it!
