Family run resort with classic old lodges near a lot of trails and site seeing opportunities around Olympic National Park. Had a two bed room with the family overlooking the lake, which was spectacular. Room was nice, but could use some upgrades, as lacking outlets, and WiFi did not really work. The restaurant and gift shop was a nice amenity on site.

The area was beautiful with lots of hiking opportunities. The room was outdated and bothered me and families allergies due to a musty smell covered by chemicals. The rooms are old and need to be badly remodeled.

Simple and some design factors which upped the rating. I was in the 'motel room' unit of 2 level 24 room front/back being on the first floor front . The design of putting the bldg on a bit of a rise w shrubbery in front allows those in the ground floor front rooms to have a private and unimpeded view of Quinault Lake across the unseen road. The general store offers free coffee/tee, cider,to bring to the room for heating in the 'coffee' unit. NO fridge /micro probably help keep the unit cleaner and varmint free. it worked out. The general store could stock more yogurts and fruit, but March is a bit early in the season. Staff could not be nicer or more helpful. A PO next door assisted w my mailing cards which needed to be on the way. A number of varied length trails are within feet of the units The large but oddly laid out restuarant is open only 3-8 and has a menue revolving around chicken, pasta and salmon Appetizers are priced high tho sounded tasty. Easy ride to the main road where in 3 miles there is the Internet Cafe...delicious and beautifuully prepared, plain and a little shabby, but clean and good service. A few miles beyond a stocked grocery store which did have fresh fruit. At the lodge fewer cars, some families, more quiet and comfy private than the upscale'Lodge" down the road.
