The hotel is between an all night outdoor night club and a drug rehab check-in location, so it is not really possible to bring kids out in the evening safely. The windows are not soundproof and there are no deadbolts on doors.

Not family friendly We had people trying to get in our car as we were tryng to do a quick unload. Also people asking for drugs and money was very unsafe. So sad was a beautiful building but not a safe place. Was very loud all night screaming and cars racing playing loud music on the road out in front of the hotel all night

To keep this as short as possible, this hotel was an overall disappointment. First of all the rooms were dirty and dusty. There were thick layers of dust EVERYWHERE and I mean everywhere. I don’t know if they’ve ever changed the air filters it was so bad we were unable to use the heat or air. The bed the sheets weren’t even pushed down behind the bed or tucked under it, sheets were thrown on top of the mattress. The towels were rough and honestly were such poor quality. I questioned if the maid didn’t take a wet towel that somebody else used prior to us staying in the room and just rehung it instead of getting us new ones. In terms of the toiletries not a big deal, but when you have two conditioners, no shampoo, no lotion and a body wash that’s irritating. It looks like some kid wiped boogers all over one of the chairs in the room, which was appalling or who knows could’ve been an adult. Oh and I guess cleaning the toilets was not part of cleaning the room for the next guest. Their breakfast is a joke we went downstairs and we were told they’re out of the two breakfast sandwiches because they’re frozen sandwiches they get delivered and they ran out so basically you can get something continental like bagels instant oatmeal etc. The staff is less than friendly. There’s one girl in particular who is younger with reddish brown hair that wears glasses who is just awful and not polite. The noise!! Trains, drag, racing loud music and people screaming all hours of the day and night.

Great room and location. The family loved the room, high quality bedding and interesting decor. Loved the view as well and being able to see the sunrise from bed. Will stay again.

So, this is really frustrating. We live in the Roanoke area. Sometimes we like to have a date night away from the kids and the pets and stay in downtown, go to dinner, go out to a bar, and go back to our hotel for some peace and quiet and relaxation and privacy. This is the SECOND time we've stayed at the Liberty Trust. The staff is very nice, the rooms are lovely, and the location is great. HOWEVER, both times we've stayed here the TV didn't work. The first time someone came up and tried to fix it, but she wasn't a tech and we were in our underwear and didn't really want someone in our room at midnight futzing with the TV. She stayed for 20 mins, had no idea what she was doing, and left. We had our iPad so we watched that. Tonight the same thing happened. It's 11:30 and we just got back from the bar and just want to watch some Netflix. The TV doesn't work. We're so annoyed. And, we don't want someone in our room at midnight trying to fix a TV that they have no idea how to fix. We unplugged it and plugged it back in. That's the extent of what we can do. Now we're watching our iPad AGAIN. But, like, for $300/night the effing TV should work. We could have stayed someplace else. And it's bizarre that this is the SECOND time this has happened. Also, we reserved and paid for a room with a queen-size bed. We most DEFINITELY are NOT currently in a queen-size bed. We have a queen at home. This is a full-size bed. We won't stay here again.

Lisa always meets us like family and ensures our favorite room is ready. It always feels like coming home.

My family of three did not have a good experience. The building itself and morning clerk were excellent. However, we booked a room for three people (2 adults and a 13-year-old child) on Expedia and we received a room with only one king bed, no pull-out, and no cots available. We attempted to resolve this with the night clerk who said there was nothing he could do other than book a second room for us. He told us to call Expedia if we had a problem with that. Not wanting to pay for a second room, we contacted customer support at Expedia. Expedia also said there was nothing they could do because we were already checked in and the hotel did not have any other rooms available which seemed to conflict with your clerk. The website clearly says that this room is for 3 people and we notified Expedia that we had three people. It is deceptive marketing to claim that one king bed can sleep 3 people. The image of the room shows the bench which could indicate a pull out for tire third person, it certainly indicated this to me. We entered a contract with Expedia and Liberty Trust to provide lodging for three people. This was not provided.

What a unique place to stay! It's a converted bank that had us taking photos and sharing with friends and family. The location is fantastic (right in the heart of downtown Roanoke) and parking wasn't too hard to figure out though not on site. One gripe was the breakfast - doesn't come with the hotel and wasn't worth what we had to pay for it.

Lovely beaux arts lobby with nice furnishings. They have only been open a few months, and though the staff was quite friendly, the hospitality game will be improved when they add a restaurant. In the meantime,I would suggest they allow patrons to take advantage of the beautiful lobby with a bowl of apples, Perhaps add coffee urn or more substantial on-demand coffee offerings (not a baby nespresso machine), and biscotti or other cookies. The room, the linens, and the decor were all very pleasing, and we would certainly stay there again!

The property was beautiful but the General Manager seemed to have it in for my adult children who also rented a room.
