Homewood Suites by Hilton Wichita Falls

Pool was 0.001° above freezing and the hot tub was out of order. Send my kids there with the wife to swim for a day. Totally disappointed.

The hotel was right next to a lake that can be fished, basically 10 steps from our parked car. The pool was open and the kids swam. The front desk staff was very attentive and courteous! The suites are 2 rooms and very large. The mattresses were worn and caused us a back ache. That was our only although major minus point.

We had a comfortable stay. My kids loved the big pond right near the hotel. Hotel was clean, but needs some updating, looks quite worn. There was an alarm that woke us at 3am, lasted about 15-20 minutes. We called the front desk and they said they were working on it. Not sure what it was. Decent place.

Overall our stay was good. The hotel provided great breakfast and dinner for the guests. The room was clean and kept well. One point that we were unhappy about was that we had asked for a late checkout and were told that they only allow late checkout until 12:30pm. We had even asked if there was any way to extend out stay but they only had smoking rooms left and we did not to pay more money for a smoking room. We would have hoped the staff would accommodate our request and let us checkout at least around 1 or 2 pm like they do in most other hotels we have stayed at. We were traveling with our 4 month old and we needed a place to stay. It would have been nice if the staff helped is out but instead we had to roam the streets for 4 hrs before our flight and with a baby that put us in such a hard situation.
