Candlewood Suites Waco, an IHG Hotel

The room and bed were very comfortable - clean and spacious. Good location for my needs - easy to get to and from. The room was quiet - which is important to me. And the mattress and pillows felt like good quality. I've stayed in a few different places in Waco - when visiting my son and grand kids - this is the best yet. I will book here next time.

Checkin was fine until we got to our room (King 1 bedroom suite for 4), we pulled out the couch bed and no bedding anywhere in the room. Went down to the desk to ask for sheets, blanket and pillows so my kids could sleep. Lady at the front desk went to the back and came back with 1 sheet. I asked again for pillows and a blanket, she then Told me they have no pillows and blankets everyone was stealing their pillows. After insisting that they find me pillows and blankets for a bed and a room I clearly paid for 4 people to sleep in I suggested she go to an empty room and get pillows and blankets off of one of those beds. She did but was not happy about it. Seriously couldn’t believe a hotel would expect their guests to be ok with no bedding.

All the staff we encountered were super friendly and helpful! We loved the suite option, it gave our family better options than a regular hotel room. The entire building was very clean. We even caught staff cleaning the trashcan beside the elevator. The price was reasonable and the location was close to everything we wanted!! Thank you for an outstanding stay!!

The staff was amazing; including the maid I encountered in the elevator. I slept like a baby. I loved the pillows, and the bed was so comfortable. This is the first hotel where the room was actually cool upon arrival, and the refrigerator was already cold. Everything was perfect and ready for us. The cupboard was well stocked; always fresh coffee, and that’s important to me. We had everything we needed. The hotel was clean, everywhere. No trash littering the hallways, or around the property. My compliments to the manager. Employee morale was great and I felt quite at home. I’ve stayed in more expensive hotels, similar to this one, but the rooms were always not ready, temperature wise, and we always had to turn the fridge up, which takes hours to cool. Check in was easy, as well.
