Well maintained property in a quiet spot! Clean, breakfast is fresh and well stocked. Our only complaint was that we tried to go swimming mid day on Sunday and the chlorine was so strong it made us sick. It turned out they had just added chlorine right before we went in, and there were no notices. The person we told seemed politely dismissive when we reported it. Other than that it was a perfect stay. The person working the front desk even did a Cookie Monster impersonation for my toddler when he saw his Cookie Monster shoes which was sweet.

Property was nice and cleaned. The problem that the room I have is next to access in/out door. All night I can hear door closed when people in or out.. can't sleep as all ..
Also the room above kids make so much loud noises... can't have a peaceful night sleep.

Let's be clear: this hotel is NOT newer, modern, luxurious, or a 3-star experience like some other reviewers have stated. However, it is quiet and clean enough to be comfortable walking around my room barefoot (one of my top "clean" tests when staying at a hotel). The shower had good pressure, the bed was comfortable (the pillows not so much), parking was easy (if you're towing a trailer or driving a large vehicle, there are plenty of areas for you to conveniently park), and there are many dining options nearby. The housekeeping staff was very nice. Breakfast is just ok, but you can't go wrong with free waffles every morning. Could have done without the Joel Osteen church TV blaring in the breakfast area on Sunday morning. I also initially thought my room smelled like stale smoke when I first arrived, but finally figured out that what I was smelling was stale carpet powder that gets vacuumed up to "deodorize" the room (I was staying in a pet-friendly room, maybe that had something to do with it?). If you're traveling with pets, beware, they charge $25 per night for your fur kid to stay and that adds up quickly if you're staying multiple nights.
Overall, this was a decent hotel for my 3 night staycation away from home, but I probably wouldn't stay here again if I had other options. However, in a pinch and if you're on a budget, this is a decent choice.

We stay here every time we come to visit family. This is the 1st time we've ever experienced an issue. Our room was by the elevator and it was noisy, ants in our room, tv kept glitching and the volume kept shutting off and the water in the bathtub wouldnt shut off. I am sure after reporting it they took care of the issues because thats what they do

It was a great stay. The room was really nice and the indoor pool was perfect. I stay in a lot of hotels as I travel often. My family was able to join me on this one so it was a great experience.

The front staff was very rude.. I understand that it was a holiday and busy but was not helpful. Door to the pool was locked before closing and was rude about unlocking it for other guest. Gave us a key to an entire different room (we paid for the family suite, she gave us a basic single king) and then stated it was booked and couldn’t do anything. After finally getting the manager he realized she gave us the wrong room/key and that we were properly booked. Never once apologized. The bedding has what looks like either urine or coffee stains on it. Trash on the floor. Was not cleanly… at all. I’d consider booking elsewhere.

Wonderful indoor pool and hot tub, always stocked with towels and clean. Staff was outstanding. Bed was A and pillows were same quality. Very affordable. Almost everything in Sulphur Springs is right here, walked to the store once, bowling alley is a walk across the lawn. Even the guests at this hotel were pleasant and helpful. We usually use our Marriot family discount, especially when we stay 7 days, but there are none here. At first we thought we were not going to get the same treatment and comfort of our Marriot stays, but it was clean, trendy, and as friendly as people would expect in East Texas!! We would stay again (my husband said just for the waffles)
