Courtyard San Marcos

The hotel looks nice and clean from outside. Check in went fine. My room and beds looked good. The bathroom had hairs on the sink, counter, floor, and in the shower. There was no shampoo, body wash, and not enough towels for registered guests. The pool looked so dirty we didn’t let our kids get in. No complimentary coffee, but they should have had it for sale in their deli. Unfortunately the lady apparently showed up late and didn’t even have the lights on when it was supposed to open. I won’t be back!

I booked this property for a 2 queen room for myself, my husband and 2 older children. Upon check in, we were told this property does not have any rooms with 2 queen beds. I showed the receptionist our reservation with 2 queen beds and she seemed at a loss to help us. We asked about the sister property next door and no luck. She offered us a king bed with a sofa bed and a roll away bed. We accepted the offer, but when we got to the room, we realized the sofa bed was twin sized and the mattress was heavily stained, and the roll away bed would have to be positioned blocking access to the restroom and front door. As this was spring break and 10 pm, we knew our options were limited. We are thankful Expedia was able to help us by finding us a new hotel, but sorely disappointed in Marriott for allowing a booking for 2 queen beds when they were not actually available. There was another family checking in right after us and they faced the same situation. We will never book this particular location again.
