It was a great experience! I can't wait to come back next time with the kids. Loved the water park, enjoyed sometime at the Spa and some drinks at the bar. Not to crowed end of September. There was always somewhere to sit available to enjoy the view. Room was spacious and clean and the shower was amazing! Friendly staff everywhere you went.

I can’t say enough good things about our stay at Hill Country Resort! Their staff could teach a few lessons to the Disney folks about courtesy and helpfulness. It was extremely crowded over Labor Day but it sure didn’t seem like it as they had various activities planned all day Saturday and Sunday topped off with an outdoor movie and s’mores in the evening. Great memories made for our family!

Waited almost 2 hours for our rooms. Bags had already been taken by valet, so unable to change clothes while waiting, and ended up spending $65 in resort store to purchase swim trunks for my child. AC in room didn’t work, even after maintenance looked at it. Shower handheld grip was broken and almost hit my son in the face. Pillows were flat, and had to request extras twice because only two per bed provided initially. Overall a really terrible experience. Definitely did not have a “resort” experience.

Really great place for a family vacation. We did a family reunion there and everyone enjoyed it. A bit pricey but it was worth it in the end. My kids 5yr old and 8month old had s’mores, danced to live music, went on the lazy river, saw a movie outdoors and played in the playground. We only stayed one night but we will be returning soon to stay more than one night.

A huge chunk of this property was under construciton so parking was limited when work was going on. It got better in the evenings though. Would give this resort a 10, if only they had geniune queen size beds. They do not. They are full size. So if you're a family of 4 it's going to be crowned at sleep. Otherwise the rooms were an ample size. Refurbished, which was nice.
That brings me to the pool. The lagoon look to it is lovely and the lazy river even more so. However, the tile was literally coming off. My kid and I were swimming, he grabbed onto the size to lift himself up and a piece of pool tile literally came off in his hand.
Seriously? I'm paying a big rate for this property and your pool is falling apart.
If it was actually SAFE then I'd give it a 10. But that bit and the lack of parking, no.
