Heights House Hotel

This hotel is perfectly fine, possibly even awesome, if you are in your 20s and looking for a fun, unique place to stay. Alas, it is terrible for a family with small children. The lively bar plays loud music all day and late into the night. We checked out early and changed to another hotel.

It is an interesting place nice reception area it’s very hipster club feel. Decorative theme, it might have been a motel 6 before I don’t know. A family with young kids I might not recommend, veered more for the older population. It’s clean. The traffic within hotel seems unnecessary, parking is snug. They have yoga and breakfast, nice. It has potential for so much more they should keep up fixing it up.

Room was great and quiet. (We actually commented to the couple below us about how quiet the baby was and they looked at us in horror, saying he was up screaming all night. No clue…the walls / floor are thick!) Breakfast was a bit disappointing, but free. Everything else was great.

Really enjoyed the fun vibe of the property. It is very much a younger party place so if you are looking for somewhere quiet this probably is not the right place. We had a multi-generational family trip here with our grown children and our grandchildren. Everyone had a good time-good restaurants, a huge HEB and the Houston Farmers market were all within a couple of miles.

I really appreciate the overhaul of this motel. I like the trendy feel, the club-like atmosphere and the vibe. We were only in for one night, so I didn't get to experience the pool. The pool seating area is set up like a lounge with couches and I didn't see any lounge chairs. There was a band playing the night I checked in. They seemed to get a good crowd. There was also a DJ in the lobby. The room was trendy, but a little small for my family of four and our big suitcases. The rooms don't have irons, ironing boards or blow dryers; however, you can borrow them items from the front desk. I borrowed an iron, but they were out of ironing boards. The next morning, I borrowed a hairdryer. I made sure to return each item to the front desk. I didn't want to be held liable for anything possibly missing. There may be a reason that the hotel doesn't supply these items in the room automatically. They offer continental breakfast in the morning in the lobby, which was very good! They had hard boiled eggs, yogurt, toast, muffins, granola bars and a coffee bar. All in all, for one night, we had an enjoyable stay. We were just a 9 minute drive from the Astros stadium (our reason for staying in Houston). If you plan to stay here, understand that this is a motel layout with exterior doors, the place gets packed on the weekends with DJs and bands, the pool is very crowded, but the vibe is good. Crosby at the front desk is very sweet and k. I enjoyed talking with her!

Their customer service is real bad. Will never go there again. This property is not families!!!!!!

We were allowed to check in an hour early which was nice. The facilities were clean and comfortable. Recommendations: Perhaps lease parking close by and shuttle guests for private parties. It was inconvenient to leave and then come back to a lot full of event guests with no parking available to hotel guests. My husband and I sat in our vehicle for a half hour waiting for someone to pull out before finally being able to park. Complaint: We were unable to use the pool due this same event. It was closed to my kids until 8, then we finally made it out there at about 8:45, we were told it was closed despite closing time being 9 :/

Had an awesome time. Enjoy staying for fun with family a d friends. Awesome staff.

At first I did not like the hotel because it was an old motel upgrading to a hotel. The area doesn’t look safe. The room is clean and the hotel is working on remodeling. We do not have a fridge neither an iron or ices in this hotel. It’s good for family gatherings with pools, patio social games , TV with sport channels and Bar. Too much noise at night as guests are enjoying the facility music pools , bar and patio games & TV sports channels. Overall this hotel is good for young peoples or family with young kids.

My son and his girlfriend stayed for 5 nights on a recent trip. The hotel was great all around, they really enjoyed their stay there. I’ll be booking family there anytime we have visitors to Houston in town
