Hampton Inn & Suites Dallas-DFW Airport North-Grapevine

I always look at the reviews before deciding where to stay. The reviews for this hotel were amazing. However I would say the reviews are wrong. The hotel is an older hotel. We booked a suite with a living area and two queen beds. The living room sofa had stains. The beds were very hard. When you lay in bed you will fall to the side near the left because the bed has been worn to that side. The first night the bedroom ac did not work well. There are thermostats in the living room and bedroom however when you use the bedroom thermostat it did not work and you need to go to the actual window unit to adjust. The first night shower was horrible. The water would not drain so you are standing in high water as you try to shower. Another warning for those with a family the bathroom is very small. The sink are is split and open to the bedroom area. You don’t see this in the pictures. The tub and toilet area are a joke. When you open the door it actually hits the toilet. I did speak to the front desk the next day and they did take care of the tub and ac however there was little they could do about the old mattress and small design or the stained sofa. We wanted to move to a different hotel however it was a busy weekend and couldn’t find another one. I usually love Hampton however this one very disappointed. For the money I paid I would have expected more. I hope this helps some of you who are looking for a fair value for your family.

Staff was very knowledgeable and very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable, the kids enjoyed the pool. We will stay here again if we find ourselves in the Dallas area.

Traveling with family. Hotel was very handy to DFW Airport and staff members were very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable. Great Experience!

First room was dirty it had hair on several areas. Manager was nice and got us another room. I didn’t like that room was a conjoined room. I was uncomfortable but couldn’t get another room to accommodate all my family. The only light was on lamps, rooms were dark. Bedroom air conditioner could not be changed and vents would not move. My side of room was very hot. Elevator was next to our room, following morning we woke up to construction on elevator.

While at the stay, a pipe burst and water was all over the floors and I didn’t know until my son fell and hit his head, also all of my clothes and suitcase were wet…. I went to take them to house keeping, and she assured me that she would place them in the dryer but when I woke up the next morning to prepare for checkout, the next shift didn’t know about my clothes and my clothes were still wet. The trip was a disaster if you’d ask me. I would like to retrieve a refund or some type of payment back to me for the trouble. I’ve reached out to management at the Hilton and I have not heard back. I just want everyone yo know I do no play about my kids. I will go to the end of the world until this issue is resolved. Thank you. And merry Christmas

Vaulted ceilings made the rooms feel huge! Very comfortable stay with my family of 7 (including 5 kids under 15). The pool is under construction, but we were just needing a place to crash during a 12 hour layover. Shuttle service and breakfast were great! Staff was friendly and helpful.

Trip was family getting together. Some flying, some driving. Very late check in we called ahead for daughter to use shuttle from airport. Told it ran until 1AM. It didnt. After our very long drive we had to leave and pick her up. Hotel was clean with beautiful entrance. Room was clean and mattress comfortable, pillows too small. Walk in shower had calk falling off with mildew. Shower didnt drain. Couldnt finish shower had to use sink. Husband could only use sink to wash. Breakfast was supposed to be full hot meal. Ovens were broken, so we got cereal and toast, coffee and juice. Very disappointing. Asked for reduced rate. Told because we booked through hotels.com we do not get refund or reduced rate. Not a good experience!
