I expected it's a happy family trip with my 9-year-old kid, but it wasn't. I made full payment for 2-day stay and breakfast while booking on hotels.com. When I ordered my breakfast around 8:40am I was told there was no e-coupons of breakfast shown under my name in their system, I need to pay. I went to front desk shown them the receipt from hotels.com that I had already paid breakfast and recommendation, so I requested them to add e-coupon under my name. I was told their system was down and need to get startup and take10 minutes. My kid was so starving and kept asking when she could get food, so I suggested front desk to inform their food department that I am supposed to have breakfast e-coupon. It's not my fault not having them but the front desk's fault when check-in. I even show them the receipt that I had already paid all. Still I was told I had to wait. It's actually more than 10 minutes waiting. As I got food it's 9:50am. ONE HOUR passed. I told them they wasted my time, the representative Arianr said I wasted her time. Have you even heard that before? Customer cost valuable vacation time on the fault made by hotel and customer wasted their time??

The hotel entrance was not clear, we did not know where to go to get to front desk. This location has 3 properties all connected and we kept driving around and couldn’t find the right entrance. I was able to walk in to a door where the name of the hotel was above and walked about a block past tables and chairs and the elevator to finally a front desk, so I asked where was the front desk for the Courtyard Marriott and they said this is it . It should not have been because when I walked out the front door the sign said another name. They didn’t care at all and were annoyed with me. So then I walked back to my family and car we reparked closer to that entrance and checked in. The room has no lighting, so we couldn’t play our board games like we do when traveling. The pillows were very flat and not enough of them. The toilet was very low to the floor so I had to use the public one. I will never book at a Courtyard Marriott again, I thought they were not up to standard of a Marriott.

My family and I use the hotel every summer. We like the indoor water park in Grand Prairie and this hotel is centrally located for all of my grown children to attend with their families. Check in was good; however, we always tend to have some type of mix up with the breakfast. This time they left one of the rooms (2 adults) breakfast off and the restaurant or breakfast staff was a little contrary when we questioned them, The service desks saw the mistake and added the (2 adults) and then they were able to get their breakfast. However, it was just awkward after that with the workers in the restaurant. We felt weird and unwelcomed. May choose a different hotel next time. Like I said, we use this one every summer and winter (to attend Ice at the Gaylord).

I had great expectations when I booked this hotel for my family including 2 kids. The check in was welcoming I was told several times to ask for “anything we might need”. The kids were excited to go to the pool, what a disappointment. The pool area was dirty, the furniture was broken and dirty. There were a number of wasps in the pool and nests around the hotel. We tried to us the pool on Sunday and were informed it was closed for renovations. I specifically call before our arrival to confirm the pool would be open. I was asked upon check in when I would like the room to be cleaned, I chose the middle day of our 4 day stays as there were 5 people sharing 2 adjoining rooms I assumed we would need trash removal, clean towels etc. on the assigned day we stopped in to swim( see above) and the room was untouched, called the desk and was assured it would be taken care of. At 9:30 pm the room remained untouched, I went to the desk as we were now out of towels the garbage was overflowing and we had no tissues. I was told someone was coming up to refresh the room and we would get a full housekeeping tomorrow (our last day). At 10:20 I emptied the trash into a large bin by the elevator, proceeded back to the lobby to retrieve my own towels and tissues. As compensation the desk comped is breakfast in the morning. The Bistro was another terrible issue. The woman at the counter were unable to carry out the simple task of getting bagels and spoiled ( twice) milk for the kids.
