Harbor House at Pier 21

My wife, myself, and our 2 children stayed here before a cruise departing from Galveston. We had an issue with the faucet handles in the bathroom and a loud clicking noise all night long from the smoke detector. Since it was late when we checked in and these issues happened overnight, I spoke with front desk staff the next morning who gave me the business card of the property manager, David. I emailed David who IMMEDIATELY emailed me back with a sincere apology and intervened generously on our behalf. I have no doubts whatsoever about booking another stay at this BEAUTIFUL hotel and was sad we could only stay for one night without opportunity to explore beautiful Galveston. Please consider staying here as the level of service, rooms, and nice continental breakfast will serve your family exceptionally well.

The only problem we experienced was the noise coming down the hall with kids 2 days in a row(Wed & Thurs). Also sounded like a room that was around us was "moving furniture for +half an hr (after 9PM). No problems with the parking or gate. Towels, water for the room, and room trash pick-up made us happy. See y'all in July.

Stayed at the Harbor House last Wednesday before our girls trip cruise. Dee and staff were amazing and so friendly. The hotel was clean and convenient to many shops and restaurants and bars. The shops in the area close at 6 so do your shopping early. I can’t wait to come back in 2 months for our family cruise.

We had a wonderful stay here on a recent family trip to Galveston. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Nicely decorated rooms in a unique style building. We loved the location, being off the beach and away from that sort of traffic and mess, and within walking distance of Starbucks and the Strand. The kids loved watching the boats in the harbor. Safe and secure parking for only a minimum charge per night. Complementary breakfast was a nice addition. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Dee at the front desk was amazing! She was so friendly and helpful and always had great recommendations when we asked. Cons: pool not located at hotel, no bathroom in the lobby so it was a struggle to share 1 bathroom with a family of 4. Otherwise loved this place!

It’s clear the Harbor House takes advantage of travelers taking a cruise out of Galveston TX. The stay is simply not worth $369.00 per night. The breakfast room can accommodate only a handful of people at a time. My family had to share one set of plastic wear as they had run out. The staff is not particularly friendly. Positives, the room are big and the location is good.
