We have stayed at the hotel in the past & it was a pleasant experience each time. Hotel rooms were clean & staff has always been friendly. It’s very conveniently located to everything.they offer a complementary drink, which is a nice gesture. one of our rooms had a dirty pair of underwear from a past guest, when I called down to the hotel front desk on Saturday, no one answered the phone. I called 3 times from the hotel room phone & my daughter called from her cell phone & was able to get through. We were given key cards to open our doors & they never worked. Would go all the way down they would activate the key card go back up to the room and it wouldn’t work. This happened several times , finally we called to have someone bring us a key card & also called HOTELS.COM since it was difficult to get the front desk. I was transferred 3 times & then disconnected. never received a callback & no solution was resolved. The gentleman at the front desk who was the acting manager on Saturday stated he was a bit overwhelmed as other people were having issues with the key cards as well. The beds were so uncomfortable they felt like they were going to break & sleep was awful. the toilet seemed like it was going to overflow anytime you flushed. There was a dirt stain in one of the tubs & my kids avoided their shower. Very unhappy with our stay.

Overall great hotel, with decent amenities and top notch staff. If you are staying with kids be aware that the bar right next door plays live music until past midnight - that was tough for us. Clearly not the hotels fault. Awesome area to explore and easy access to everything.

Very impressed with the Newport Harbor Hotel. I shopped around prior to booking as price was important as well as a harbor view. This hotel was one of the least expensive hotels on the water and is right in the heart of downtown Newport with great shopping all around. The staff were very friendly and very good to guests.
Four adults stayed in a room with two double beds and we were cramped. There was only a desk chair for additional seating, which just wasn’t enough. I share this just as a heads up, probably fine for a family of four, but four adults for girl’s weekend the room was too small.
Would absolutely be my first choice when visiting Newport! Plus parking was plentiful and not an additional fee.

You can’t ask for a better location than this hotel. It’s located right in the heart of the restaurants and shops at the warf, and everything is in walking distance. They have a great secure parking lot so you don’t have to find street parking. They have a heated indoor pool that my kids loved. The staff is especially nice and friendly at this hotel. We will definitely book here again when we come to Newport again.

Best thing about hotel was location. Room needs updating and AC needs to change. My whole family didn’t sleep much bc the AC is so loud! Otherwise place was average.

Beautiful warm day for Newport. The pool was very dirty with bandaids and hair. This is a family hotel and they have a few activities. Parking is tight. Location is amazing but the property is show age.

Family of four during April break week. They had movie nights for the kids (so cute! Popcorn and lemonade), drink vouchers, great breakfast available, and friendly staff. The pool was cold when we first arrived but it did warm a little. The grounds were clean. A little dated and some repairs needed (some floors broken, screen in our room ripped, etc). Staff was friendly and super accommodating. Amazing location and we will definitely return!
