Newport Bay Club and Hotel

One of my favorite properties to stay at when I am back in Aquidneck Island visiting family; i’ve stayed here multiple times and it’s just perfect in every aspect.

Unfortunately occupants above us had noisy children and woke us early each morning. Didn’t consider it safe because no one at check in area whenever we came in or out. Lovely unit.

We were there for 2 nights for a family wedding. Great location! The only thing that was bothersome was paying for parking.

The location could not be more perfect. Everything is within walking distance. The one bedroom suite was very roomy and comfortable for our family of 4. Super clean too! Very friendly staff. My only suggestion....a tv in the bedroom. Will definitely stay there again!!!

It was the perfect location for downtown shopping and dining. Nice stay for families with young kids. Only complaint is there were a few things structurally like a missing handicap railing but the base attachments were still in the wall and the toilet wasn’t fully attached and swiveled around at the slightest touch. Otherwise everything was great!

The duplex room was a surprise. The kids loved it.

We booked this room as a last minute family get away (8am the day of our check-in). We were pleased with the location and condition of the hotel for the price! (It is right across from the Red Parrot and within walking distance to restaurants and shopping downtown). The room looked to be recently painted and the bed was very comfortable. There was quite a bit of noise outside until late (our room overlooked the bar outside), but we were so tired, it didn’t keep us up. The bathroom was reasonably clean, but the light switches were black with dirt and disgusting. Our door did not seem like it had the most secure of locks on it, if I was a female traveling alone, I would probably have worried a little more. We enjoyed the space of the suite and for a one night stay, enjoyed the experience overall. We would stay again.

The AC didn’t work properly in our room. Every time we reset it, it would work for a bit but then shut right back off. It wasn’t horribly hot but there is no airflow in the room and you can’t open the windows. The bedroom we were in was directly above the coffee shop who opens early and starts their music right up. I went down to get a coffee and found that they have placed their speakers on the ceiling, directly below the bedroom so come 6am, the music was bumping in the bedroom. Also, if you’re not a child, don’t plan to sleep on the pull out sofa. I ended up sleeping on the floor with my legs up to try and ease the pain it caused to my back. My only other complaint is parking. While the hotel does offer on site parking, it’s at an additional cost. For the amount of money I paid to stay at that hotel, I would expect it to be included. Other than that, the room was clean, the staff were pleasant and you can’t beat the location.

Great spacious suites, parking onsite, smack dab in the middle of downtown. Staff were very friendly. We would definitely stay there again. Only thing we didn’t like was how thin the walls were especially with young children next door and lead feet above us.

Great Location, I hardly ever post a review but was disappointed in my stay. I got rooms for 3 of us for a photo shoot in Newport. Yes I own a small business so know these reviews count. The person checking them in the hotel made the process much more difficult since the last name was not correct in the check in but the phone number was the same for all of the reservations I made. I had a long call with her to insure it was the room for my friend. Maybe the system they use needs to updated to make the process smoother. Also asked if a later check out was possible but a stern 10am was the policy was stated. Not even a little wiggle room? I get it but there is no way that all the rooms get turned over at 10 am. I felt the check in / check out process could have been easier. again, great location. Rooms need a little update but if your with kids its a good place to stay.
