If you want a place to stay that’s close to everything this is it. I wouldn’t say it’s child friendly as it has a bar in the lobby and people can come in to the space and don’t have to be patrons. I was there with my 9 yo daughter and I didn’t really feel comfortable being downstairs with her after a certain time and yes I saw other kids there but again I wouldn’t say it’s child friendly. More like couples or singles. The room I was in had no microwave, there’s also no room service. You have to order the food downstairs and bring it up stairs yourself which forced me to go downstairs to the bar with my daughter and I felt awkward doing lol. Also for tub lovers there was only a standing shower. We had to ask for someone to come clean the room and when they did they only gave us towels did not make the bed or vacuum the floor. in terms of safety, they have a back entrance where hotel patrons can come in however there was no security there and once the door opens anyone can run in. Sometimes people would be sitting inside and I was not sure if they were part of the hotel or just hanging out. So I would say if you’re looking for bare minimum, close to everything this is the place for you. They also have a Starbucks connections downstairs!

Amazing, modern property. Beautiful lobby. A delightful hotel in a great part of Philly. Stayed with two kids and they loved the popcorn and games in the lobby.

The location of the hotel was perfect for tourists.A lot of attractions were within walking distance. Or at least a short drive. There were homeless people around the area but what downtown doesn't have homeless people. My family and I felt safe. My big complaint but not surprised was the cost of valet parking. Which was sixty two dollars a night.

Aloft was a great place to stay! Friendly service, stunning hotel, and there are several games in the lobby for friends/family! It’s also located right next to a Starbucks. Only downside: gym is a little small and has no windows. And breakfast is not free.
