Inn at Cemetery Hill

Our family enjoyed our stay at the inn. The room was clean, but could use a little work. There was a hole in the ceiling where it like an old cable came through. Also, the door was not aligned correctly, so when it was shut, the latch could be accessed from outside the room. This did not give us confidence that our belongings would be safe when we left the room. When we were there, the deadbolt was sufficient. Breakfast was great, and the location couldn’t be better for a stay in Gettysburg.

The front desk staff who greeted us upon check-in were very nice and professional. The breakfast attendant was courteous and friendly and did a great job of keeping everything clean and refilled. My only recommendation is to ask for a 2nd floor room. The guests above us for the last night of our stay were incredibly loud as their kids stomped around. We probably wouldn't have noticed it if we were on the top floor. Lessons learned for the next time - LOL!

This is the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel, but the first time I’m hearing of the rewards program. I think it is a genius idea and it absolutely makes a difference. We were able to sign up for it after we checked in and the kind gentleman at the front desk actually refunded us our Early check-in fee which he didn’t have to do but he did to accommodate us. But now we are members and now we know our next day that we can check in early. We came this weekend as a couple but we are family of six and having the opportunity to check in early is a major major convenience. I also want to give a shout out to the breakfast. It’s very rare that you find a breakfast for free in a hotel that is actually quality. Everything was delicious and simple and clean. Complementary coffee is definitely a plus as well.

When I booked my room for my stay, I requested a king size bed, and I received two full size beds. I also asked for handicapped accessible and did not receive that. I had my three children with all being under the age of 2 and I had a stroller and not one person asked if I needed any assistance while opening the doors. Instead, they sat there looking at me. There were stink bugs in the bathroom and the room had a weird off-putting smell to it. I was looking forward to my stay and it was not what I excepted.

The staff was awesome! The hotel itself is great location. At 1am people were in the hallways , slamming doors, talking loud, sweating, playing music, it was very hard to sleep and my child was up all night and could not sleep because of the noise.

Right in the center of town. And walking distance to almost everything. Our family if four enjoyed our stay.

Overall the stay was great. Very clean and well taken care of. The kids working the desk could have been a little nicer but they weren’t bad either. Only issue I had was you can only smoke in a designated area and I’m fine with that but the people right below us smoked all weekend right in front of their room and nothing was said to them. Even though they were right outside the front door

We had a great time. Room was clean and spacious. Our private entrance was very convenient. What I saw in the pictures is what I walked into. Beds were comfortable and overall it was a great stay. Walking distance to many restaurants and attractions. I would do it again!! The only thing that I can see needs changed is the front office staff. They were friendly but they need more energy!! Housekeeping ladies were great and talked to our family.

It was absolutely the most amazing place a true gem as was all the staff ! Can’t wait to return ! It’s like family. Perfect in every way!! Tammy and Tim Lorenz
