Best Western Gettysburg

Right for our family trip

I paid extra for a room with a view , however that room was across from the 3rd floor dining area with a constant flow of traffic . The door slammed over and over from the moment we checked in at 4pm until 10:45 pm and then again starting around 5:45 am . The hotel allowed a guest to reserve the party room and they had zero respect for anyone in the surrounding rooms . Their kids ran up and down the hallways , adults were talking super loud in the hallway , loud music and there was even an altercation right across from our room . At 10:15 I finally called front desk and asked for something to be done . Unfortunately the relaxing anniversary weekend I planned was anything but relaxing . The hotel itself was beautiful and very clean, I would just never want to stay anywhere near the dining area again .

My family of 4 stayed 3 nights this past weekend and the location is great to walk to everywhere. The hotel was clean and safe very friendly and helpful. We will be back.

We had a great stay at this hotel. It was clean and updated, which are always my top concerns when I am booking. I was pleasantly surprised by the accommodations. The vote is located right across from the National Cemetary so it is a short 5 minute drive to the Gettysburg Visitors Center or even a brief walk if you’re willing. It’s at the edge of downtown historic Gettysburg but for my kids and I it wasn’t a difficult walk into town and we enjoyed seeing the sites and shops along the way. My daughter (9) even commented that she’d love to stay at that hotel if we go back there. Everyone was friendly and breakfast was a bonus!

The pros - good location, 15 minute walk to downtown. Clean rooms. Breakfast was nice but such a bad layout that it was so crowded by waffle and pancake station. Chairs/tables packed in, barely room to move. I've been to other Best Westerns with better breakfast. Pool is ok, very basic. Wish there was a hot tub. There is space for one. We were traveling with kids and the pool was pretty lackluster. Not that many options for hotels with pools in Gettysburg though.

My wife and I spent 2 days visiting Gettysburg and stayed here 2 nights, everything was very good, the only negative thing i could come up with was our breakfast on 2nd day, there were a bus load of young kids visiting which made us not even bother with complimentary breakfast, not a fault of the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Walking distance to a lot of shops. Hotel was clean, very family friendly, and staff was very nice. It was also decorated for the holidays.

Nice place for family

I was very pleased that the property was as expected from online pictures. This place was clean, staff was friendly and it was so quiet. I could see sunrise over the nearby fields and it was so peaceful. My kids had a blast in the pool. We felt like we were the only ones there a lot of the time. Can't wait to go back.

We stayed for 3 nights at the beginning of our family vacation and then returned for 1 more night after going back to RI to visit our family before heading back home to Florida. Everyone that I encountered at the Front Desk was extremely friendly and helpful. The room we had was a king bed with a sleeper sofa and the bed was extremely comfortable! We will definitely plan on staying here again the next time we visit Gettysburg!
