There was no toilet paper in the room. Had to go to the front desk and ask for toilet paper while family member had to sit on the toilet until I came back with toilet paper.
Two empty rolls!

We (me, trophy husband) decided to spend a couple nights in Seaside on our month long road trip and picked the Quality Inn based on the price/review ratio in my brain. This place was spot on.
Pros:
Plenty of parking. Decent breakfast. Rooms have a mini fridge (no mini freezer), microwave, hair dryer, small coffee pot, iron and ironing board. Shower has shampoo and conditioner. Our room even had a small table with chairs but it was comical how low (worn out) the chairs were while sitting at the table. Made us chuckle. Staff is super friendly and helpful!
Cons:
The property is dated and the AC clicked on/off so I switched it to constant fan but I'm a menopausal woman so I was warm. Trophy husband slept fine. Walls are thin and (not the hotels fault) there was a loud family in multiple rooms with kids running up/down the halls knocking on doors and running. But one call to the front desk and they settled down (more on that later).
Consideration for light sleepers:
This property is on the main road into/out of town. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room at the back.
Every employee I met was attentive, smiled, and was very helpful. That said, I specifically want to thank Karen for her help during our stay. She checked us in, accommodated my request to stay in a room away from the road (I'm the light sleeper), gave us a great recommendation for dinner, and immediately put a stop to the rowdy family running amok. Karen, I appreciate you so much!
Happy Hoteling!

Very simple hotel. Easy check in and out. Hot food for breakfast but needed more options to choose from.
Room appeared clean but found a chunk of metal sticking out of our sink drain and childrens drawings on sticky notes on the floor beside of the bed?

We are frequent visitors to Seaside (family) and have stayed at several of the Seaside, Cannon Beach, and Gearhart hotels and motels. In fact, we’ve stayed at this Quality Inn before. We’ve even booked the same room category at this QI before. This time, however, the room was very small. With the built-ins, about 2’ on each side and the foot of the bed. One of the blackout curtains was partially unhooked (3-4 hooks) so it hung down on one side. I had to climb onto one of the built-ins to rehook that side so it would work. TV remotes not properly configured so one remote controlled volume and another controlled channel. A/C was controlled with a third remote labeled ‘see green book for instructions’. No green book. King flat sheet had been used on our Queen bed and hung to the floor. Previously breakfast had included hot entrees (scrambled eggs and sausage) as well as make-yourself waffles. Waffles were there, but other hot entrees were gone. (We were told it was to meet “parent corp” Choice standards. Seems backwards — eliminating things people appreciate and don’t mind paying a little extra for.) No one was available in the breakfast area for cleaning (no clean breakfast trays) or to answer questions so we had to ask a couple of questions at the front desk. (Where’s hot water for instant oatmeal, knives for cutting waffles, etc.) The alarm clocks were very bright, even on the dimmest setting. No instructions. (Maybe in the missing green book?) We think they can do better.

First arrival set the tone when you rang the bell and waited for the staff to plop into his chair. Up getting out room key we entered the room and immediately overwhelmed with the smell of barbecue and hickory smoke. In addition the fan/ac did not work at all no matter what we tried. After a few minutes the smell became nauseating and we asked for a different room for these reasons. No sorry for that or apologies the first thing out of the staffs mouth was did you use/move anything. I was like i went to the bathroom. We finally got a different room with a full size bed even though they market it as a junior queen which doesn’t exist. For 200 bucks i would expect better. Never again staying here.

We had a junior queen room, and fair warning those are quite small. Good enough for one night.

It was noisy with kids running around unsupervised, and when I spoke to an older female manager, she did not care at all. The noise came from kids running on the second floor and the whole first floor could hear and even feel the shaking from it.
