Very nice and neat, clean hotel. Room was clean and quiet, we loved the balcony and the view, food was tasty *(including clam chowder served at 5pm), kids absolutely loved the pool. One of the best hotels we stayed in. RECOMMEND.

Absolutely loved our stay at Kathryn! The staff was friendly and helpful and made our visit to Seaside better. Great ambassadors for the town. Helped with easy to follow directions on where we were going. Smoked salmon chowder available at 5 pm was amazing!! Flavor infused water in the lobby was wonderful. Felt like coming home to a much smaller family run hotel. Very clean. Located perfectly. We parked our car when we arrived and never had to use it again. We could easily walk everywhere we wanted to go and not have to deal with the crowds by the beach - so nice!! We will definitely stay here again when we come to Seaside!!

It’s a pleasant staying during our family coast trip. This is not a luxury hotel, but very well equipped with furniture and space for a 2+2 family staying at double Queen bed room. Easy access to both beach and restaurants. Fresh baked Chocolate chip cookies and salmon chowder are the bonus. Overall we are happy to choose this hotel.

I'm a very big guy. 6.5, 420 pounds. The seating in the dinning area was fine, as were the chairs in the room. In the Pool / Hot Tub area, the plastic chairs didn't look like they would support me. Wooden benches would have been the preferred seating along the walls.
The bed, while an upgraded King size bed, was way to firm for me, and was actually uncomfortable for someone my size.
The facility was very quiet. Room overlooked the River right outside. From my 3rd floor balcony, it was really nice spot to relax, and watch all of the rental "Swan" style peddle paddle boats going up and down the river which had very little current so it was easy for the boats to go in any direction. Lots of families enjoying the boats.
Simple continental breakfast with mini muffins, various cereals available, both hot (use the microwave, and cold using the refrigerated very cold Milk. Coffee teas and Orange juice also available. In the Evenings they had some delicious Salmon chowder available.
All N All, I would give this place a 4.5 out of 5.

We have stayed in nearly every hotel in Seaside once. This was our first time here. We were very impressed and enjoyed our stay, but there were a few biggish negatives.
Pros:
Great, friendly staff!
Clean, and updated.
Amazing location and parking for downtown access- literally right there.
Great view of the river!
Pet friendly!
Negatives:
The door to the balcony does not have a curtain and faces the river which has lights. The room is insanely bright at night and the minute the sun comes up, so if you’re sensitive to that, it’s awful!
The pool was conveniently “closed for maintenance” in the morning which basically means they want to keep families from swimming in the mornings.
“Breakfast” was only cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, and some microwaveable breakfast burritos. Gorgeous breakfast area but basically a cheap hotel’s breakfast.
Kurig in room was broken and there a few random toys behind the dresser/under the bed. While that can happen, it also shows that the details aren’t being checked.
We would go back because it was a really good stay, but we’d definitely need a way to cover the balcony door to avoid the light.

Service was great. Salmon chowder and cookies were awesome. Great views, comfy beds, clean rooms, close to everything. Have already recommended the place to family and friends. I will definitely make that my place to stay anytime I’m in Seaside.

Great place for a family. Clean, quiet, friendly staff, 3 blocks from the beach, and 1 block from the main drag.
