Hi-Tide Oceanfront Inn

We had a fun family vacation in a perfect location in Seaside to enjoy all that Seaside has to offer in an easily accessible way. The building rooms are comfortable but in need of an upgrade. The front office staff were wonderful and engaging with us and our grandkids. As a beachside hotel, daily cleaning would be a great upgrade. I hope they have the opportunity to give the facility a major upgrade to make this place even better in the years to come.

Close to the ocean. Beautiful area and close walk to the main tourist area of Seaside. The staff were awesome and it was nice having DVD movies to watch with the family and cookies. The pool was clean and warm.

I liked all the extra thoughtful things... the sand toys to use, lifejackets and a few pool toys at the pool, cookies in the evening, free movies to borrow etc. Just a lot of little things that make it family friendly. We enjoyed being right next to the beach, and along the prom. It was Corgi Beach day so we enjoyed watching the corgis stroll past our window. I just wish the room was updated! We also saw a lot of mice outside the room on the grass.

We were delighted to have found a deal on this property that allowed us to stay ocean view. We had to travel a ways so already having a code to access the room whenever we arrived made us worry less. The trip had some extra special moments for the whole family as we all got to be on the beach for the first time seeing the northern lights. It was the perfect room for our family for a last minute trip! We didn't bring any pets, but loved that they incorporated them in a way that was seemless.

We stayed here as a family of four. We stayed at the two bed room. Con: The hotel room is outdated. I’m used to having air conditioning in any hotel room I stay in and they did not have any. They had a fan in the room that had dust on it. I was surprised to see that they had dust on the fan given that multiple people stay in the room. Also, the cable was not working. I asked the front desk clerk about it and they stated that they were in the process of changing services. In the front desk, they had DVDs stored for you to use. The wifi service was average and at times it didn’t work for us. Pro: We were able to check in early because the room was available, around 1 PM. The property was close to beach and was a beautiful site. They provided pastry and cereal for a complementary breakfast and it wasn't bad. Overall, you definitely pay for what you get.

Most of the staff was great! the beds were comfortable and the view was awesome! Loved the balcony, though there should be a small table with the 2 chairs. The bathtub/shower was great in our room but in our daughter's it was so OLD, the toilet seat was extremely OLD and WORN, needing replacement. The sink area was much too small. The yellow sinks were quite unattractive and date back to the 70's. The continental breakfast was very nice but needs to go to 11am (we are on vacation after all). Coffee was terrible. Need more tea and creamer selection. The building was very TIRED. It has not been repaired or updated for a very long time. The slats on the railings are DANGEROUS and must be replaced immediately. OSHA would be horrified. My young grandson kept trying to climb through the slats - he would have succeeded if his family was not diligent in keeping him from doing so. A child will be hurt or worse if the railings are not replaced. There was dry rot in several areas of the building. The elevator was very slow. All the doors and door jambs need replacement as they are worn out and look terrible. Painting is needed inside rooms (the current colors are dull and drab) and on the exterior. There is dust and dirt (not talking about sand) everywhere and the walkways need to be power washed. The electronic door entry devices are difficult to use. Overall, the pricing is expensive considering all the negatives about the property. I would not stay here again.

We showed up in the middle of the week. Pet friendly, clean, affordable, right on the beach, fresh cookies at night. Perfect place to stay with my family.

Second time stay at Hi-tide and it has been an amazing experience, from the staff to the beautifule view of the beach. I recommend the Hi-tide for couples and families.

Nice place for a family to stay. Close walking to everything in seaside. A little dated on some features but overall worth the price. Staff are very friendly and helpful, free fresh cookies at 6pm.
