Holiday Inn Express Grants Pass, an IHG Hotel

There is absolutely NO insulation between rooms or floors. Our family had 7 rooms and the only one not complaining of noise was on the 4th floor.

The food in the casino was awful, service was dreadfully slow. No other food options around for 20 plus miles so eat before you stay is my suggestion. The front desk service was ok but everyone else on staff was rude and seemed put out. The “casino” is a joke and consists of a handful of machines in total. Saying a casino is connected to the facility is ridiculous as it is not any kind of entertainment due to its size and options of play. Even if you wanted to, they don’t offer anything for children to do. Way overpriced for zero amenities and terrible location. Very disappointed with this stay.

We were glad to be able to check in 20 minutes early. Our room was in great order and very clean. We noticed a wonderful camaraderie among the staff which flowed to friendly and cheerful reaction to the lodgers. Breakfast room was well stocked and hot food was kept warm. The shared pool with Best Western was great fun for the kids. The cookies, coffee and ice cold lemon water in the lobby was so convenient. Overall a very good experience at Grants Pass Holiday Inn Express.

It was super easy to find, just right off the freeway. Very clean, the beds were comfy. My only complaint was the person or persons above us. They were up until midnight pacing back and forth, opening and closing drawers, dropping things, jumping on the bed, etc. They finally settled down and it started all over again at 4:30 am ! The same noises, the same amount of intensity and same pacing back and forth. It was rude and inconsiderate in my opinion. I had to put in headphones and my husband turned up the tv so we could at least rest until we were ready to get up. This went on until they left around 8 am or so. I am not sure if these were young adults, or kids, but I would recommend whenever possible to always put families or young adults on the bottom floors. I guess I should have called and complained, but I honestly thought they would have had enough sense to settle down and be considerate of those beneath them, but apparently I was wrong and maybe I should have complained. The stay was nice and we will stay again, but I will definitely be asking for a 4th floor room next time.

Hotel was nice, breakfast good. However- the reason we chose this hotel was so that our kids could swim. When we went to find it we were told “sooo- we share the pool/hot tub with the hotel next door and it’s currently closed for the season”!!!😣 Very disappointing since the website did not say anything about this.
