Hampton Inn & Suites Stroud

My family and I enjoyed the 4ft heated pool, 24hr gym, and breakfast! Friendly staff, helpful and inviting. We appreciate the stay!!

When we arrived there was no one at the front desk, we waited for a while before any one came to check is in. The first night we tried using the pool and there about 15 screaming kids and we couldn't use it. The second day the pool was closed for maintenance. When we checked out they open the pool back up. So we didn't get to swim. That is what our kids look forward to. The guy at the desk was very unfriendly.

The check in was a little uncomfortable. The staff was visibly busy and had to dig for the reservation, that i made over 10 days ago. Had me worried for a minute. The staff was visibly stressed and therefore not very welcoming. There was a young, female, child playing alone in the lobbly; that was somewhat strange. The host handed her a broom and she walked down the hall, playing with the broom. When i returned from my room, the young girl was sitting in the lobby again. It was very akward. The room was clean-ish. It looked like room service did their job, but maintenance hasent been doing theirs. There was dirty caulk in the shower and the grout lines, in the tile, were so deep its almost impossible to sweep. There was dirt in the bathroom tile.

Had to make an unplanned trip south to take care of grave family circumstances. Forgot a family member’s wheelchair but the hotel had one they allowed us to use to transport family to room and back out. They definitely made a grim trip a little better. Will definitely stay here again!
