We booked this hotel for an overnight stay on a roadtrip to Vermont. While checking in we realized that the town was experiencing a power outage. I completely that a power outage is something out of their control but having zero access to lighting, food, vending machines, ice, and heat in 19 degree weather with 2 children was not a pleasant experience. We had to be guided to our room by a hotel employee by flashlight and navigate our room via phone flashlight until early into the morning hours. The hotel was unwilling to accommodate any type of compensation refund or even offer a free breakfast. Overall extremely displeased.

We did a family long weekend trip. Great location. Bar/Restaurant was excellent. Great indoor pool. The only problem was that nobody told us about requesting room cleaning. I understand why they do that with Covid restrictions. I was just disappointed when we returned to our room after being gone all day and it wasn’t cleaned. The staff was great. We will definitely stay there again.

We have stayed at many Holiday Inn’s and find each time they seem more and more dated with a worn out look. This time around our stay was far from quiet with a family of at least 5 young children under the age of ten (from what we could count) on our floor. They were running, yelling, slamming doors and crying in the hallway until 11pm. We don’t expect any hotel to be super quiet however was ridiculous. We have raised our kids and now have young grandchildren and on their worst day they never behave like that in public nor at home. We didn’t call management to complain because we didn’t want to embarrass the parent(s) that obviously have no control over their children. Needless to say it was a real bummer.

The location was great, few blocks away from the main strip of Saratoga Springs restaurants, shopping etc. The hotel and rooms were older than expected. The beds were not comfortable. The room with 2 beds are double beds (not queens) so my husband and I felt very restricted sharing a bed. It was fine for our 2 young kids. It was a bit noisy as this hotel allows pets so you could hear dogs barking down the hall. The main benefit of this hotel is that is has both an indoor and outdoor pool which the kids loved.
