Residence Inn by Marriott Poughkeepsie

Amazing two bedroom two bathroom suite with full size fridge and stove. Great service at the front desk and the kids loved the pool and whirlpool. Would recommend and would come back.

Very good experince. Went with whole family (three kids under 5) and the pool and hot tob were a hit, the breakfast was better than average, and the room was clean with comfortable beds and sofa-bed.

I hardly ever write reviews but this hotel was top notch. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and it was perfect for our family of 5. My kids loved it too!

Upon check in we were impressed with how clean the hotel was. The room was wonderful, clean and spacious. After dinner we planned to visit the pool and hot tub for a few hours until it closed at 11:00. When we got down to the pool and tried to swipe our card to get in we were unable to. At this point another guest with young children stated that although the sign says the pool is open until 11:00pm it actually closes at 8:00. No one had informed us of this and there was no sign with correct times to be seen. We had planned our night out to come back after dinner for the pool. We had asked the front desk if we could still go in and they refused. Not only our group of five adults were disappointed but four more adults and four little children from two other groups were ready in their swim suits and disappointed as well. We booked this hotel for the pool. We will never book again!!!!

It was a disaster- the room we rented was on the side the hotel flooded so they were trying to get us 2 seperate rooms but with kids it was impossible, the pool was down, as were the elevatos. I asked if they could work with the other residence inn in Kingston and if my rsvp can go there. They werent helpful, just said they they we refund the stay, but thats it. Very surprised by Marriot

One night getaway to visit old friends. The room was so cozy with the feel of a studio apt. We didn't have the kids but said we will def try and stay at Residence Inns when we travel from now on - if they are anywhere near as clean/comfortable as this room it's a no brainer.

In short, our stay at this property was a disappointment. Our original room reservation was switched (without any warning or notification) to a different type of room that didn't meet our needs at so 1 family member was displaced. The pull out couch didn't have linen, which required a late night call and request. However, the front desk staff members were kind, friendly and helpful, which almost made up for the inconvenience and hassle of our stay.

The staff were all very nice and accommodating. The breakfast was so-so. Not much selection. Only 2 hot stations. The pool was open the first day we arrived but it was freezing. They closed the jacuzzi which would have been fine with a chilly pool becuase you could at least warm up in the jacuzzi. The room was smaller than I thought. Bed was very clean. Sofa and carpets were filthy. It is a pet friendly hotel so the cushions and carpets were a weird material that hair would stick too. There were layers of pet hair and human hair impacted in the sofa. Didn’t really want to even sit on it. It was gross! The pull out sofa was so sunken in and uncomfortable. And you could just feel the grime on your feet walking around barefoot. We literally went on a local get away for the kids just for the pool an jacuzzi but the pool was only open the day we checked in and then closed for the rest on the time! I was very disappointed. Unfortunately I will not be going back to this hotel!

The perfect place in Poughkeepsie. Very clean, comfortable and convenient, with enough room for adult children.

Our stay here was great. The room was spacious and my family was comfortable. Will stay here again when in town.
