Aloft Secaucus Meadowlands

The front office check in staff lied to us saying that we were booked for only one king bed room, where we booked 3 suits with 2 queen beds. We had 5 kids who suffered and slept on the floor due to this. The front desk lady refused to accommodate with any other rooms too. The next day, when i checked again with the front office, now its a man and he checked and said we were indeed paid and booked rooms of 2 queen beds and he refunded the extra money that we paid. If a customer is lied too and not given the rooms that were booked and on top of it refused to accommodate kids .. is a place that i would never return back and recommend any.

Well there was this family and they kids making too much noise at 1:00am my wife couldn't go to sleep. They was right across from our room

The only things i didnt like was the room/bathroom set up. You have literally a toilet slide door that my kids can easily move. Also whats most concerning is the noise in the hallway could be heard inside our room crystal clear. I thought the doors have some type of noise cancelling coating like most hotels would have.

I loved the fact that not only was this hotel a 15-20 minute ride from New York, there was also a lot to do right in the area. Plenty of restaurants and shopping. My grandkids loved having an indoor pool as well! I would definitely recommend it and I’ll be staying here again!

Excellent location with very nice plaza nearby serving great food (Cumin N Eat Indian). American Dream mall very close. Fitness gym just opposite the hotel. Trips to NYC convenient with the 320 bus. Staff are nice and friendly. The hotel is not fancy, and room service does housekeeping once every 3 days, but I was there with two small kids and it worked out perfectly for me.

The engineer came from the back and threatened me! I’m a single mother with my children and their friends, Then he ask me what’s up? In a intimidating manner Spanish male,it was horrible and scary !

If you are traveling with a family, make sure you are as far as possible from the lobby. The volume of the music is pretty loud and runs late into the night. The rooms are nice, but the beds are not comfortable.

Property is modern and clean. Room set ups are not great for families as the mirror set up lets you see right into the shower area with out any obstruction. Makes showering awkward for teens and parents sharing the room. We asked for our room to be cleaned 2 times and it never was. When I approached the cleaning staff she said in very good english that she did not speak it. Thats fine but when you have asked 2 times and it did not happen its a little frustrating. As far as whats around the property. 2 decent restaurants share the parking lot. Theres a McDonald’s and a decent sized Walmart within easy walking distance if you’ve forgotten anything. Secaucus Junction is quite the distance away - not walkable - but getting an uber was relatively easy. Overall not a terrible stay but not my best experience.

My kids loved it. They had 2 arcades and a pool table which my kids enjoyed. They also have a pool. The stay was fun. Beautiful hotel I will be visiting again

Honestly the staff was incredibly accommodating and very sweet. Kindness really goes a long way for me and it definitely shows. Thank you to who ever was on shift that night/day :) Definitely a top favorite place to stay while visiting family and work.
