Crowne Plaza Edison, an IHG Hotel

We had a terrible experience at this hotel, we went to room after my family activities with the kid at 1am, the lock doesn’t work and all the stuff is inside. They gave us a diff erent room to sleep with out our stuff. We had to wait until the morning 8am to resolve the issue, I missed my appointment which we had in the morning and loss of money there.

Very secure right next to Edison police. Very relaxed atmosphere the staff made us feel like family. We stayed 14 days. Spotless clean, huge spacious rooms. Very inexpensive, no locked down prision atmosphere like other NYC area hotels. The only complaint was no microwave in any room. They should make them avaiable at request.its alright Walmart had a $55 microwave.

This hotel is a real deal for travelers. Just a few minutes of NJ Turnpike or Garden State Parkway. Great rates for a very nice hotel. Delicious buffet breakfast for $4 each (much nicer than typical hotel buffet. Table service for coffee and juice). Friendly staff. We even got vouchers for 2 free beers or wine. (Wine wasn’t great). We’ve stopped hear twice when traveling to VA to see family and will use it again.

I miss the included breakfast with the omlet station where a real wonderful person made you a made to order omlet. I undersatnd how it could have fallen to Covid, however now, espesially given out OVID awareness, it was not reinstated. At this time, the breakfast is so-so Average or a bit below average. I have been staying here for many years, as I grew up in the area and travel here to visit my family. I alsways looked foward to a nice stay. Yes, lobby updated, but for such a nice upgrade, I would also love the omlet station reinstated. Just to say though, the staff was very professional and room clean, bed clean. Would recommend.

Room was clean, there was lots of room and the beds were very comfortable! Front desk was helpful and friendly. The walls.are paper thin and we heard everything our neighbors said and woke up all night with their crying kids.

We had not so great experience in this Hotel. We visited with extended family and had 3 King Rooms. Kudos for the Hotel: * Great location Concerns for the Hotel: * Front staff was non reactive, no smiles, no greeting, when we arrived. Took him a min to realize, we are seeking rooms for reservation and gave us keys * Hotel lobby has a sign of renovation and looks nothing better than Motel 6 * Rooms were missing furniture, a sofa and ottoman, which is shown in photos. When we asked front desk, they mentioned, not all rooms have Furnitures. * Coffee machine was not working in one room. We managed it from the other 2 rooms. We did let front desk know. No actions were taken. * Bathrooms were not fully cleaned, when we checked-in. * Room carpets are breaking apart and. * We also saw a small spider in the room. All these were told to front desk, but they were cool with just listening and saying.. we are very sorry.

Dirty, dingy motel. Seedy area. The lobby smells like a giant restroom. The clientele look shady at best. We ate the costs of 2 rooms and stayed in NYC..which shockingly felt more safe than this place. If New Jersey is the armpit of America.. I'm not sure what that makes Edison, but it is gross. Not for families. At. All.
