We stayed here as a family for one night. Me and the kids went to a concert and the husband stayed at the hotel and casino. The lobby is beautiful and check in girl fairly friendly. We had gotten there a bit early but was able to go ahead and check in. The room was nice if a bit dated. The bathroom was wonderful and the dual shower amazing. The lighting in there is a bit dim for getting ready. There was a built in magnifying mirror with light that was handy though. The toliet has its own separate room with door which is nice if multiple people need to be in there for various reasons. The pillows were so comfy and soft! The headboards were nice at one time, but in our room the leather was peeling off. There are multiple places to charge your devices. The tv had the option to cast from your phone so that was nice to be able to watch our own streaming services. We booked a patio room, so we had a neat little patio sitting area that was quiet and private. We don’t smoke but if you do it’s a good place for that. The room seemed clean and the bathroom spotless. The furniture is a bit dinged from age. There was an armoire for hanging clothes and such that is tall. My husband looked on top and did find some empty beer bottles. Why did he look up there? Who knows.. most people wouldn’t. He thought it was hilarious but maybe an fyi to cleaning staff to look up there in case you get more picky person in the room. We ate at the BEERHOUSE and the food was good!

I requested a smoke free room and was given a room on the second floor that was once a smoking floor. Because I've never smoked, it was easy to smell its presence. The room had visible stains on the chair and headboard of the bed. I stayed in the Comfort Inn, which was cleaner. I called the front desk and was assigned a room on the third floor, which should've been their first assignment. Handicap parking was also a considerable problem; there were only two spaces and not wheelchair friendly. I will never stay or recommend this hotel to family or friends.

Beautiful hotel, great staff interaction, the hotel smelled beautiful the moment you walked into it all the way up into my room. Stayed one night with my children and even though a casino is on the first floor it was very quiet. Only downfall is figuring out the entrance of the hotel. Not enough signs. Drove in circles for about 10 minutes.

Great room except for noisy child next door but that of course can’t be helped.

Unfortunately they put us in smoke filled rooms despite signs that said there was a $250 fee for smoking in the rooms. My sister - a woman in her 40s slept the first night on the bathroom floor trying to escape the smoke that was in all the bedding, flooring, and drapes. I had a scratch throat and voice for days. They moved us to a different floor after a lot of trouble. We were only in St Louis for one full day, and we had that day scheduled for activities for our teens - instead it was spent driving back to the hotel, talking to a manager, and moving rooms for 12 females - a lot of stuff. Because our trip was disrupted the other people we met in St Louis who drove 10 hours to meet with us did not get to enjoy the venue with us. They left early while my sisters and I were moving rooms. I’m horribly embarrassed, but it was out of our control. I believe that we deserve a partial refund for having our vacation disrupted. 5 families spent a lot of time and money organizing this for our teens. It was my first experience with Expedia, and it was not a good one.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the River City Casino and Hotel. It was in a very safe area and that was extremly important to us. Very close to all the attractions we went to, clean, and quiet! The staff was very friendly and informative Having places to eat in the hotel was really nice and convient. Overall, we would definitely recommend this hotel/stay there again! We didnt go to the casion, but enjoyed our stay at the hotel.
