Comfort Suites Columbia - University Area

I had a great stay. The person at the desk was helpful and friendly, the room was clean and good sized. There was a family with small kids in the room next door. I could hear them while standing in the hall, but I was so impressed with how quiet the room was. Overall, I was pleased with the value. I would stay there again.

Its a great hotel and we love the pull out couch room option for our larger family size. What I wasn't thrilled about was that the front desk staff would not allow us access to the breakfast room tables and chairs. Our family comes in once a year and we enjoy hanging out, but are too numerous to fit in one house for long periods of time. In years past we were allowed to use the chairs and tables to play cards, chat, or bring our own food in. They would not even allow us to sit around the tables, or use the chairs. Then when our doordash arrived we were told we could not eat in the lobby. Our family could not eat together, but eat on our beds in our room? That isn't very accomodating. Also, we eat in our rooms, but there are no trash cans big enough for the trash. Nothing in the hallway either. I don't want to order sushi in then keep it in my room to stink the room up. Give us trashcans near the vending at least.

Overall the property and room was good. The pull out couch was damaged and the mattress was dirty but we made it work for the grandkids. The chair in the room needs to be replaced. We enjoyed our stay and the kids enjoyed the pool. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Well it looks hood on the outside but when we got to our room...it didn't look like anyone cleaned it & the lights didn't work either. On top of that there wasnt a pool. My child was so upset that she couldn't swim. They should have said they didn't have a pool & it was under construction. They did make it right by giving us another room i guess. Over all its a ok place to stay but the rate for this room was a little high.
