They charge a $100 a night “incidental” fee that I was told would be refunded once we checked out and it’s been 2 days and I still have not been refunded. Will never choose this hotel again, staff was also very rude about the situation. Also not kid friendly at all, pool is only for fitness and restaurant was more or less a bar, the waitstaff ignored us and food was horrible.

We enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean and up to date. The location was nice. Has a nice pool for kids. Many restaurants near by.

The hotel was nice, but it felt like as soon as you stepped outside that changed. The downtown area of Minneapolis is sketchy. Just standing in front of the hotel you see homeless people, people walking around clearly messed up on drugs, etc.. It's unfortunate for those people in those situations, as well as the area in general. I traveled with 2 children and wouldn't have walked with them anywhere. Thankful the hotel had valet parking. I've never used a valet before, but I was grateful we didn't have to find parking elsewhere and walk to the hotel.

Was expecting a luxury product in a luxury environment for this luxury hotel. Staff were great, room was adequate. A little dustup in the hotel lobby on a Saturday night required several Minneapolis police and squad cars to be present. An entire group evicted and they weren't happy. Was surprised at the condition of certain things. Restaurant tables were scarred and chipped. One booth looked like the vinyl was patched and the patch was half-off, just hanging there. Dustup featured an youth dance group, many youth groups there, 500 kids? Mostly well-behaved but surprising group for a Hyatt Regency.

Stayed at Hyatt Regency for a dance convention and loved it! Pool area is dated and was cold, but the kids didn't seem to mind! Staff was very helpful and kind

My stay at the hotel was not what I expected, that weekend was an Anime event, and just weird people in front of my little children.
When I got to the room and used the toilet, I saw that it was full of excrement all around it and it was the most unpleasant thing I've ever seen in a hotel.
The bathtub was full of mold around it, and every day when we returned to the room, only the beds were made, the bathroom was dirty, full of hair on the floor.
The elevators are dirty and sweaty, with so many people there.
The hotel should have an area to park as a guest, since there were only places reserved for the ballet parking.
The question is, would I go back to this hotel? EVER, in addition to being expensive, it is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

We had an excellent stay. The room was nice and comfortable. The pool was clean and warm. The lobby was a pleasant place to gather with family. Employees were very nice.

I like the food attendants at the buffet for being kind to me and my children. I like the front desk guy for explaining the parking to me ad nauseum untill i finally understood it. I like that it was clean and we had a good view. It felt safe. I stayed at another downtown hotel last year and it did not feel safe and the room smelled of smoke, (starts with an E). I like the staff at the market too, it seems like they are putting a lot of effort into making the grab n go food top notch.

Upon arrival, while checking-in to our room, I asked the lady assisting us if she could help us figure out how to get to the concert we were going to that evening as we had never been downtown before. Unfortunately she was not willing to help us out and told us to just “google” it. Not a very friend first impression for a hotel that says they are always willing to help their guests!
The room was fine with the bathroom being the nicest part of the room.
We stayed for 3 nights and checkout was at 11 am. We were out later on our last evening so I told my family they could sleep until 10 and then we would get up and get ready so we could be out of the room for check-out time. Unfortunately, at 9am housekeeping came banging at our door waking us up. I ran to the door thinking something was wrong. When I answered the man said, “oh it’s checkout”. I replied, “I thought it was at 11 am”. He then said, “oh yes, right” and proceeded to knock on the next door.
I have never been to a hotel that wakes up their guest before check-out time so that was disappointing!
Overall, the hotel is nice, but between those few things and having to pay extra every day for parking, I’m not sure we would stay there again.
