Stayed for one night. Convenient location to get to children's museum and aquarium and seaport area

Very accommodating. Were Able to take care of all my requests. ( early check in, microwave, fridge.) Which are not in any rooms… Only things wrong: room service got my order completely incorrect and is very expensive. Second, the valet parking makes no sense. You pay 65 dollars for the parking yet have to go down to the garage to get your car after. Not convenient at all especially with kids and luggage.

I booked 2 queen beds. I arrived at 4:15 pm. They said they don’t have the room. Update my book king bed with beautiful view. I came to room. The view is disgusting. I see a roof top around both side. Expedia price was listed 274 plus fees 383. When I booked. Invoice came to 506$. I called Expedia waited 1:39 minutes. No one answer. I just find virtual help. I asked if hotel can’t call expedia with my problem. They said they don’t have number to call expedia. I was tired with my kids. I just want to check in and get diner. It was unpleasant experience. Parking valet service is very bay.

This hotel was nice. Really clean and updated. We had 2 queen beds and our room was actually nicer and larger than expected. Bathroom was super clean and nice. The pool was great. Our kids loved it. Room service: we got breakfast one morning, the food was not worth what we paid. The pancakes were good, but the egg yolks completely cooked through by the time we ate them. I could barely cut through my eggs Benedict with the knife. The English muffin was rubber and the ham was tough. Not worth $25. Housekeeping and bell hop service was exceptional. The staff was so kind and personable. The second night of our stay is where things took a bad turn. We were about to fall asleep when the room was overcome with a strong heavy smell of burning food. We turned the fan off on the thermostat but it did not remedy the problem. We were coughing from the smell, it was so strong and smoke-like. It was as if someone had a griddle in our room and was cooking meat. We called and asked what was going on and they said “an issue with the loading dock”. Not sure what that meant. But 20 minutes later they were able to move us to new room on the same floor but other side of the building. The room was smaller and seemed to have just been cleaned. There were wet spots on the carpet which was gross. We called the manager and she waived the amenity fee for us. She was not very apologetic. Ending our experience like that was really frustrating, as was moving rooms that late with a 2 year old.

Pool was being renovated, was not notified till we arrived… I have kids.. made it kind of annoying. Room had a makeup pillow and dirty comforter…. For 400$ a night I expect better

There was chocolate in both beds and it was out of the wrapper and had been eaten by someone. We reported it and a measly 69 dollars were taken off the bill. Then the next day the same thing happened more chocolate in the carpet near the bed and under the pillow of my freshly made bed. This is concerning because it looked like it had nuts in it and we had a child who is severely allergic to nuts. Nothing was done when we told the front desk. We were looked upon like we shouldn’t be staying at a nice hotel. I won’t be coming back here and will consider not staying at IGH hotels in the future. Very disappointed. I hope this review makes it back to the hotel and doesn’t just stay on Expedia.

We’ve had a wonderful stay so far. The kids loved swimming in the pool and dining in the lobby…room to move without disturbing others! Staff could not have been friendlier!
